First post on here and I'm asking for something...

To share my story first. I was first taken to the Bees when I was 3 and have loved supporting Brentford ever since.

I'm a documentary filmmaker by trade and I have recently been commissioned by Copa90 to make a short film on 'what defines Brentford FC'. EST-15mins. It's effectively a timestamp between the end of GP, the surrounding pubs and what the future holds for both the club and the culture of the fans. The main underlining narrative of the film is that A football club is not defined by players on the pitch, but rather the community it’s in.

Firstly I have got interviews lined up with some fans. However if you know anyone or you would be happy to talk about fan culture at Brentford do let me know and I can give you some more info on the film. One note on this - I know previous films have been produced recently, so keen to share different experiences and opinions.

Secondly a large part of the film is recreating atmosphere in the pubs and different areas of GP (ER terrace, BR forecourt, behind the stands) from over the years. I want to try and source as much footage of the pubs pre/ post game and any footage of GP where you can't see the players on the pitch. I would HUGELY appreciate any help on this, so if you have any video footage/ archive photos of GP or any of the following pubs I would love to use it:

The Royal Oak
The Bricklayers Arms
The Albany
The Hive/ Stripes
Princess Royal
The New Inn
The Griffin
The Globe

The footage does not have to be wild scenes or even stable camera work, just looking for football fans doing normal things pre & post football.

Just to clarify this is not a doc based on previous players and results, but rather other factors that define Brentford FC.

Any questions give me a shout on here or my email is tompryce91@gmail.com - happy for you to send any footage to my email or drop on to this thread.

Cheers for any help - COYR
Tom

A video was done quite a while back (assume on u tube) where someone visited all 4 pubs before a match and spoke to fans etc. Thought it was really well done. Also worth checking the video about the supported (Luke K?) who stood in local council election his campaign centred around BFC.

Thanks all for sending in photos etc really added to the film. I've tried to document what I love about the club and where it currently stands, so I hope you all enjoy.

Cheers, Tom

Sorry if you could like and copy and share wherever you see fit that would be appreciated by the people who put it together and one of the paid stars who is getting appearance money. Thanks

Really good film this, with plenty of your favourite GPGers in it. Pitch not looking too great though!

Thoroughly enjoyed that. So many great pubs around TW8 past & present. Here then to the future of B F C and lets all drink to that wherever we are.

I used the Windmill a lot during the 80s as my Mrs lived on Orchard Road.
It was run by a bloke called Brian and his girlfriend.
It was tiny inside and quite clique as most of the punters were from the local roads
nearby. We used to have a couple of beers in there before moving on elsewhere.
My Father in Law got in to a disagreement with someone in there one night and
was barred until they realised that their takings were down as a result.
