I think you'll find that we actually won that last season 3 -2. Middlesbrough don't concede many but they aren't good enough to score many either.
yes, we beat boro last season but it wasn't that type of game. Last season we lost loads 1-0 to Warnock type teams.

Expectations eh!
We didn't do too bad last season did we?.....P.O Final (and all that).
But after 11 games we only had 12 points (I think?)....this season 16....so maybe we can even go a step further! ....COYB's!!!

When he's been given as many chances as Canos has and wastes just as many, then I will consider it. If you want to judge him on 10 mins at the end when our shape was done for, fine. I'll judge him on a few more games.
Exactly - how anyone can judge Fosu on that cameo is beyond me.

Marcus summed it up - wingers aren’t taking on and beating players. Feels like we have Martin Filo and George Torrance on the wings.
Agree with this 100%..3 wingers and not one of them goes at the fullback and gets a cross in... We've only got JDS and Rico that ever run at people with the ball and JDS has been poor the last couple of games. Henrik has also looked very sluggish lately.

The players seem to be suffering from cumulative brain fade at the moment and I'd put part of that down to being young in this relentless sequence of games.
Also we should not forget we had an even shorter "break" and pre season than anyone else in our division and in addition had to try to recover from the disappointment at Wembley.

More and more teams are working us out. We need to start mixing it up instead of ridgidly playing out from the back because we are so predictable it's painful.
We are club that prides itself on our fitness but we look more tired than many other teams i've watched, many of them with a few injuries like us.
Nørgaard may improve us when he comes back but he'll still be a marked man by any manager that knows his stuff.
MBS is a real plus point for us though he looks really good and imho Pinnock and him look more soild than Pinnock and Jannson though i expect a little push back on here for that last part.:)

I quite enjoyed that I a perverse sort of way. But then again I'm not getting out much and had low expectations. Warnock is our nemesis and it was quite interesting to see if we'd manage it this time. Nearly did. I've seen worse.

Mads and Pinnnock were good today. We looked pretty solid albeit lacking creativity. Mbeumo and Canos didn't offer anything from the wings, no runs behind and no options short for the full back which made it very difficult to build anything. Disappointing performance but we didn't lose at least. Glad for the international break

But who starts our 4 wide players have been useless all season. The most disapointing of the 4 is Bryan, if he had stepped up this season it would have taken the pressure of Ghoddas and Canos. He has been given a rating of 5.4 which I believe was 2 above what it should have been. A top season and he would have been playing premier football next season.
Give Ghoddos and Fosu a run. Not saying they will be the answer but we won't know unless we try. Sergi and Bryan don't go past defenders which is how you break down a Warnock type side. They rarely if ever do this. We know that for sure. For me it shows how influential Said was for us. He did this and was a real threat. Having that bit of class makes the difference. But we were dead lucky to find Said.

Have to take the bad games as well as the good ones 🐝👍👏
You're right. Time was, it was you have to take the awful seasons as well as the less awful ones.

We're spoilt now. Had the internet existed back in the 70s, everyone would be enthusing about our ability to occasionally put two passes together. Trouble is, we're no longer conditioned to the pure unadulterated rubbish of yesteryear.

This lot are several classes above. I know. Still feel like that was an awful watch.

True. It’s so easy for a bank of 5 to stand a forward up and make them play it backwards - danger gone. This game really needed a Said, someone to scare defenders and leave them on their arse, to open things up
