Canos and Marcondes don't make any contribution to the team and Goode is way out of his depth. Another 2 points lost down to Thomas Frank's team selection.
indeed...........i'll say this now but any team that has marcondes or canos as starters will not go up......weve gone backwards with these 2 being regular starters and it shows so badly.......all those creaming themselves about canos on saturday, well that was back to square one with a jolt.....hes like a headless chicken running around.......marcondes is just woeful and contributes nothing to this team......please tf can you keep both well away from the pitch this saturday

I know it’s the same for all teams but we’re struggling with all the back to back games. Maybe it’s simply key players out injured or that we’re in a transition season. Time will tell but we’re not doing too bad
I don't understand why we haven't really increased the depth of our squad this season. So many games back-to-back (especially once December comes around), and we've not lacked income from transfers. As you say, we're not doing too badly, but it seems like an extra bit of depth or quality could make a huge difference right now, especially in a league that is there for the taking.

We shaded possession but only one shot on target tells its own story.

We should have got another winger in, its unfair to rely on Canos after hes been out for a year.
Hes been back for 3 months and been in training longer. He’s a pro footballer. He should know who to pass to and how to defend.

Pinnock was outstanding but few other positives.
I thought he might have been at fault for the goal. Looked like he left the cross when he could have cleared it but hard to tell without the right camera angle.

Canos was back to being very clumsy in his tackling but Ghoddos’s only idea seemed to be to run into their defenders and then appeal for a foul.

Not a good performance. Didn't deserve to be leading at half time and never got started second half. Dalsgaard should have scored the header, if he does we go on to win it....awful header. That said we were second best so it is a point gained.

Stay calm chaps. That's not a bad point. We weren't brilliant, but we weren't appalling. we caught Swansea on a good day and didn't lose (would have won if Dalsgaard had converted). Long, strange season. Need to stay there or thereabouts for now as all sides will be up and down in the long term. We have a strong squad... sensible rotation could well see us come good at the right time in spring.

That was a stressful watch ! One shot on target is economical I guess but it’s pretty clear that our squad is at full stretch , JDS is running on empty and needs a strategic injury to pull him out of the U21 squad so he can get a rest. Janelt needs to start Saturday , Ghoddos and Marcondes need to step it up Goode looked like a schoolboy for the first half hour but thankfully improved steadily as the game progressed.
Consistency is going to be difficult for every team this season with the gruelling schedule take the point which we just about deserved and put the whole team on intravenous Red Bull and keep your fingers crossed 🤞

We have to many average players who are not good enough for this level, Ghoddas and Goode look poor signings as for Canos and Marcondes I'll rather not say. Lucky to get a point, but please get Forss and Toney in the same side some how.

Terrible commentary, no understanding of how we play or modern football in general. I hope they never get invited back.

Also how many times does Mark Burridge say 'great pass there' when the ball has gone straight to the opposition.
I think an evening out with them would be a fun night, however the passing out from the back nonsense and we should be hitting it long certainly showed their generation,

the plus points were pinnock and rico who were excellent and jensen who was just behind.....raya 2 great saves too and toney of course for all round game..........the minuses, marcondes again, canos again, josh looked knackered and his passing was well off tonight, ghoddos poor, mbeumo ok for a bit but doesnt get involved enough......goode prob had the worst 20mins in the first half but got away with it and improved 2nd half but still looks way off the mark for this league......tf has looks of work to do to get us up to the sort of level we need for mboro and warnock on saturday

You cannot seriously say that?!! We should’ve gone up. Plus, you cannot say we would’ve been poor as players would’ve come in.
And we didn't have 4 of our top players from last seasons game with the same opposition

Last two home games and two points gained. 2 ways of looking at it.

1. 4 points dropped. We led in both games into the closing stages. These are the types of games we need to hold on to leads if we want to finish top 2.
2. 2 points gained against two of the better sides we're likely to play this season.

I suppose the concern is in both games, we didn't really deserve to win either and the equaliser had a feel of inevitability about it (although was more fortunate in the Norwich game). Unlike the Norwich game, where we decided to take Da Silva off which probably cost us, it didn't seem we had the personnel or tactical know-how to get hold of the game tonight. I don't think Thomas picked the wrong team or made questionable subs.

In the cold light of day, we had one shot on target all night and got a point. When you look at it like that, it's most definitely a point gained, although it doesn't feel like it right now.
Very true....the most frustrating thing is that we just don’t seem to want to play to our strengths though. Swansea looked good because we made them look good, we are at our best when we attack teams and don’t try and sit back. We were lucky to get a point just like Norwich however after taking the lead we should’ve won both. It’s like a broken record with same players not turning up or just not being good enough.

Three Players stood out: Toney, Pinnock and Raya

Without them we would have lost.

Swansea far better than us. As others have said a point gained.

Think that's a point gained - we've come a long way in the last year so it's easy to forget that Swansea still have parachute money, Ayew is on £80k a week and they also have England U17 WC winning loans like Guehi from Chelsea (who is superb).

In contrast, we're missing our captain and best midfielder who between them have most of our experience. Goode does look out of his depth but he was playing league 2 last season! Ghoddos will need time to adapt and get up to the speed of the Championship just as Jota and Benrahma did. I think across all divisions this season teams will drop points all over the place (look at Liverpool and Man City already) due to the compressed nature of the season so we just need to hang in there and keep building. Norwich drew 0-0 home to Millwall tonight, Bournemouth have a team way too good for this league and just lost 1-0 at Sheff Weds who couldn't buy a win prior to that. It's going to be a rollercoaster.

Too many passengers for me that don't bring any intensity to our forward play. Swansea deserved to get something from the game and found their men better over most of the game. Compared to last season we seem to have lost the the attractive flow of football. Thank goodness we have goals from Toney and Forss to help us on our way. I suppose the end product we didn't lose.

We should have gone up in the end, I agree. But the amounts of bites at the cherry that we couldn't swallow suggests we weren't good enough. I also very much doubt we'd have gone on that run had it not been for lockdown. I'm not being negative Paul, I've been watching since 1972 and this team is without doubt the best I've seen in that time. I certainly don't think we're weaker than last season. If anything we're stronger. I just don't see us as promotion material if I'm being honest. The results would seem to back this opinion up.

We were trying to attack them but we couldn’t because they closed us down and our passing was poor.

You’re probably right re. TE and AC in many ways but come on, how pompous or PC have we become if we can’t enjoy 2 men who are an important part of our history chatting sh*t through a game. I didn’t expect to be educated by it but I loved it. Maybe be a generational thing but I know which generation I’m happy to be part of.

Didn’t play well but got a point against a side that will be in the top 6. I’ll take that every time.

Players seemed tired and lacked energy and leadership on the field. We are missing the experience of Norgaard.

Usual suspects are getting hammered but only a couple really played well.
We have lost 1 in 6 since the last international break. Hopefully we can get 3 points on Saturday before the next international break.
At the moment we are just flirting with the top 6.

Time for platitudes and excuses are gone. This team are unlikely to get promotion.
I agree it wont but if we get Norgaard and Jansson back I reckon top 6 is definitely achievable. I said it last week - I do not want to see Marcondes and Jensen in the same midfield, it is like playing with 10 although to be fair to him Jensen has been decent few the past few games now.

No we tried to play the ball around at the back, what we needed to do was get the ball in their half and then pressure them as they were shocking at the back with the ball at their feet.

If we're looking at that as a point gained (which I guess it is), I think we've got to accept we over achieved a tad last season and thank **** we're not in the Premier League. Top half finish I reckon (please God not 3rd - 6th, would rather 7th). Wouldn't be too upset with that mind, considering what I've had to watch for almost half a century.
We didnt over achieve last season, we were a quality side and should of gone up. Watkins has been replaced very well by Toney. But the loss of Said has been a massive blow. We didnt replace with quality and tried for a cheaper option that may come off. Baptiste is a big blow as I was hoping he would step up. Ive never been a fan of Marcondes or Canos I just dont know what they do. I think its time to play Toney and Forss because I dont think we have 2 wingers good enough for this level. Hoping Mads is fit for Saturday.

I know they ‘deserved‘ their equaliser but I’m not sure how the ref gave a corner that lead to their goal. Raya didn’t seem to get a touch!

Our first eleven is the best in the league, certainly of the clubs who were in the division last year. Jensen now looking a good player, much improved from last year. But I think we may need to invest in at least one new wide player up front in January. I’d also like to see Finn Stevens get a start, as Dalsgaard too often seems fatigued. Racic and/or jeanvier and zamburek back in the squad would surely be an upgrade too.

Agreed they have got to think how to get both in the team somehow without totally changing way we play. At moment beyond anything else Forss has fresh legs so maybe him and Toney swap Centre and Centre left during a game totally interchangeably . Janelt naturally sits in front of the back four so leaving Jensen and da Silva to dictate play.

Here we go again, all the usual moanies are out again.

players are sh*t, new players are sh*t, squad is too small. It’s the same every bloody season.

I am glad we have these two games out the way, late equalisers and it could have been 6 points.

Wtf has political correctness got to do with anything? Some people didn't enjoy it because it took away from watching the game but PC, where on Earth has that come from.

7 points now dropped from winning positions - we will live to regret those games at the end of the season
We used to be “top” of that table pretty much every year - we cut it out last year, and it was a huge driver in our success

Players can take time to settle. But every game I look forward to seeing him, hoping he'll be like his Youtube showreel. I too am getting a bit impatient waiting for Ghoddos now.

Agree with a lot of that. However I do think 2-3 of the players you are writing off are much better than you think, Ghoddos will be quality, Goode will be perfectly OK. Canos I agree should not be in the team or the first sub, EM really hasn’t shown more than glimpses of his ability.

The issue is that we can’t deal with the high press, look how sh*t all out good players were at Wembley etc,
