Brentford will now face Bristol City at the start of next month in a game that has twice been suspended. The sides were due to meet on Saturday, 2 January and then on Tuesday 13 January but neither game was able to take place.

Your comment reminds me of one of my earliest memories watching the Bees. A Monday night in 1979 against Sheff UTD and we played alone and if we won went 2nd, I think they were top, not sure. I’m surprised more wasn’t mentioned of the wind at the weekend. You could hear it across the mikes throughout the game. WW managed to draw the first half with the wind behind them, then were blown away second half when we had the advantage.

If Rupert's car looks like it's getting on a bit, I suspect that's down to the two of us then because I haven't given him a penny either. I watch Sky games via a company called Jellicoe Sports, named after the road it is in. Well, it's my mate's house actually. I pay him a subscription of a ten pack of Strongbow Dark Fruits with a booster pack mid-season, to have my computer as one of the named devices on his Sky Go. The boosters were originally every 12 weeks, but I've found that twice a season doesn't decrease efficacy and is actually a boost to my economy.
