I didn't see the game so can't comment. Looks like he had a decent game so hope he is starting to get his form back.

A solid performance. Another assist. Created opportunities and is developing. Still only 21.

How many assists has our silent assassin managed so far this season? Ok he's not at his tip top best atm, but he's contributing fully to our attacking threat. Just look at our goals tally already. For me, if he's fit he plays.

5 assists, one goal. The assists in the last two games were tremendous. As was his assist after beating 4 players against Huddersfield. There have been things he could have done better, but that goes for every player in every team.

More than anybody else in the Championship according to the Times this morning.

For our goal v Swansea he had three defenders stopping him from using his left foot, so he passed to Jensen on his right.

To me he is starting to look far more dangerous and causing the opposition more problems as each game goes on.

If he continues to do this without scoring he is doing a good job . As long as he has a outlet , in this case Jensen.

If they had put fewer men on him they could have marked Toney/Jensen better. But then he’d have been well placed to curl it into the top left corner himself.

3 on Bryan but Jensen is unmarked. Mugs.
I posted elsewhere about this... if you look at the replay and see where Jensen has run from, and at what pace, it's not totally surprising that he has not been tracked. Smart move.

Also when the ball comes in we have Toney, Ghoddos, Marcondes and (I think) Henry in the box. Was really good play and we need to do more of this.

Thought Bryan had his best game so far this season. Seemed to have more energy but still more to come from him.

I think Swansea's formation worked well for him, their 3-4-3 with wing back getting forward, with his speed, gave him space to get into. They clearly knew to show him inside but having a clever player like Jensen spot the opportunity to overlap worked well for our goal.

'Boro also play a 3 at the back but it's more likely to be a 5-4-1 choker. Speed and very quick passing is going to be the way to find the openings.

Another horror show. Clearly already low on confidence but as the game went on it disappeared completely.

As soon as he gets the ball he’s thinking how the hell can I get rid of it. Very weak under pressure. Those sort of performances get glossed over when Said is on the other wing bending the ball in to the top corner....Said is no longer there and Bryan is poor regardless of assists stats.

When he doesn't pop up with a goal or assist his performances look so average at the moment. I really hope he can get that buzz back into his play that was evident pre-covid last season. Although as others have pointed out he no longer has Said scaring teams on the other side and they are now doubling/tripling up on him. He needs to find a way to deal with that new found pressure and attention which hopefully he can do soon.

Doesn’t seem to do a lot with the ball these days. Reluctant to beat his man or shoot someone give him a kick up the arse please!! Really rate Bryan needs to start delivering

Consoling myself with the old adage "form is temporary, class is permanent" :)

For all his positive tweets he just does not look like he is enjoying things at the moment. God knows what the answer is - perhaps another French speaker for him to commune with.

Struggling with the reduced space on his side of the pitch now Said has gone. Still had some moments of quality, but not as effective as he was last year (though similar criticism could be given to a lot of our players).

He needs the rest of the team to get the ball up the pitch quicker, his best moments are when he can get in behind, but he never gets a chance to at the moment as we’re too slow progressing up the pitch.

I'm not going to mention today's game, but we desperately need him to find form again. Our best wide player when on form. We somehow need him to find some form and magic again. I'm not picking him out, more saying he is our best when on form and christ we need it.

I will :D

Was unlucky that the keeper pulled off two great saves today I thought he was better today but yes there is a lot more to come I hope.

i just dont know where we go from here with him......looks a shadow of his former self and thats being nice
Patience is where go with him - he could have had a brace on another day, for me he still has some credit in the bank. Just hope starts to pay back soon before he enters the overdraft :)

The fact that he was our most threatening forward says a lot.

I would love to see him move more across the front three more during games. Inverted wingers compress the game and allow defenders to face the incoming ball. Both wingers going to the deadball line would stretch play and give defenders different problems.

I think he's getting there. He was getting into the right positions and was v unlucky not to score. Just looks a bit frustrated but he's not getting as much support as he was last season either from behind him in Dalsgaard or from across the pitch and midfield, where Benhrama, Da Silva, Marcondes or Jensen would invariably be available to play quick passes with. We need to get the front three/four working together and working closer together. That's where all our problems are.

Has done OK so far without hitting the heights of last season, similar description that could be afforded to the team to date. If we did not play BM who would play instead? Fosu-Henry has not taken any of his limited chances, and does not look good enough to start at this point. Yesterday should also make it clear that its not an option to play Forss wide, we looked worse and Wycombe had their best spell. Canos and Ghoddas are also under performing. When you look at the available options we should stick with BM until we can bring in fresh blood imo.

The 'issue' with Mbeumo is that there is no player on the left side who constitutes anything like the same threat. Solve that and he'll be perfectly fine.

Think he's doing fine for a 21yr old who lost two excellent strike partners. BMW was a great little unit. Going to take time for Toney and a.n.other to reach that level. Would help if we could sort that left wing berth

Would perhaps like to see him switch to the wide left at times just to make him a bit less predictable.

We seemed to try this for about five minutes yesterday but despite getting a bit of joy we switched back soon after.

It’s not just about his one-footedness, it’s also diminishing the impact Rico Henry has on games. With Bryan wide left, when Henry arrives on the ball in space he would then have the option of crossing early, playing the ball inside to our 8/10 (Jensen, Dasilva or Marcondes) OR playing in behind the fullback towards the byline for Bryan to run onto. We had this last year with Saïd but our other left wingers (Sergi, Saman) don’t have the required pace.

Henrik doesn’t really get forwards as much so on the right, you probably want more of a ball carrying player who can come deep to collect from the fullback, and has the technical skills to transition us from defence to attack quickly. That’s never been Bryan’s bag. You see him a lot this season receiving the ball in his own half (or near enough) with his back to goal with two opposition players tight on him. He just looks uncomfortable.

I think we are at the stage where we need to try swapping the wingers over. I dont think TF has any other options at the moment. But we really need to add to this squad if we going to challenge top 6.

Give Toney/Forss/Mbuemo a try and give them a free role across the pitch. Have the 3 working together, with the aim try to do what their defence wants least. Shame we dont have an FA Cup match to try it in for 6 weeks

His French mates have left so he’s feeling a bit lonely. He’s only 20. He’ll get through this spell.

PS if you think he’s got long covid then you’re a ****ing idiot!

He's 21. ;)

But yes, I agree, we need another Frenchman, asap, as a 'buddy'!! :)

Maybe a Spanish one too for Sergi?! 🧐
