Pointless totally hypothetical thread but worth a poll.

Would you rather have next season in the Championship with QPR relegated to join us plus Fulham still there, or a season in the Premiership with all of its associated hassles (ticket unavailability+prices, stupid kick off times etc etc) and no QPR/Fulham?

Bees Prem, Rangers Championship and Fulham L1 would be ideal.

I think we need to consolidate for another year so I'm going for - Championship with QPR and Fulham, plus, Millwall, Watford, Charlton, Palace, Reading and Tottenham (could happen!).

Yes completely ridiculous and premature but an interesting test of where people's priorities lie. As far as I'm concerned, a season with 4 derbies against the West London pretenders would be epic. (for the first time in 60+ years?)
Of course still possible this could be in the premiersh*t!

Will be interesting to see how we do in the FA Cup this year. Likely to get one or two big draws. That will be a good yardstick for us.

Now I know we're getting carried away, how about who would we rather avoid in the Champions League qualifying group the season after, Barca or Bayern Munich?

For the SOUL of this club, I think it would be disastrous to groundshare. I'll take the championship with the local morons for a couple of years and Premiership with The New Griffin Stadium*, please.

(*That's the official name of Lionel Road, I have decided).

Will be interested to see Hullbee's response to this poll, I suppose it will depend if he wants another season in the prem or whether he is looking forward to seeing his beloved Rangers at Griffin Park again.

I and most Bees fans have seen us have derbies against Fulham and QPR. There won't be a Bees fan under 80 who has seen us play league games against Arsenal, Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool, Man City, Everton, Spurs, or Villa. Staying up is going to be monumentally hard whenever we do it - even after 5 years of 20k gates as an established Championship side we'd be minnows in the PL. So why not now, if the team can get there?

The New Griffin Stadium - I like the sound of that. Do we have a thread re naming the new stadium?

So, the question is whether I would rather...

(a) play in the Premiership against Arsenal, Chelsea, Tottenham, United, City and so on, glory in unending television coverage and get a big multi-million pound payday that will fund a sustained challenge in the Championship even if we did get relegated

Or

(b) play in the Championship on a much smaller budget for the sake of fixtures against a few middle rankers like QPR and Fulham.

I think you can all guess the answer!
