I see that this match has been designated "ticket preferred".
Will there be any problems buying tickets on the day at the turnstiles? Surely there's no way it's going to be a sell out???

The only problem will be Charlton fans getting into home areas.

The club have to show the Police they are doing their best at segregation

If you buy before Saturday, you must be on the clubs database

If you turn up on the day try not to look like a Charlton fan and you will be fine

I think the Charlton fans will be smart enough to not try and get into the home areas with Charlton shirts and hats on, and if not then there is no way to tell at the gate if someone is an away fan so they can easily do it. The 'ticket prefered' makes sense if a game potentially selling out is an issue, but for this reason it just seems pointless.

Should 8/9,000 crowd at least, i expect 2,500 Charlton in home and away ends if they are as big as they like to think.

Me and the old man coming up from Bristol for this one. Would not be great to drive all that way and get turned away so should we get tickets or turn up on the day?

If you are on the database - buy tickets in advance.

If you are not - turn up early.

I would imagine they will be asking people to use the ticket office to purchase a ticket before going through the turnstile so the data base can be check. Despite all my moaning recently I have purchased mine as I can envisage hassle otherwise.

Can tickets be collected on the day for this match? Or do they need to be posted?

I don't get all this?

It's almost scare mongering from the club that put's so many floating fans off turning up on the day.

Ticket prefferred? What the f**k does that mean - It won't be a sell out, so just leave it as it is....????

The club would rather not have to do this i assume but i suppose the police wont allow them to have as a free for all as you could have 3/4/5,000 Charlton fans turning up (unlickly i know).

i lived in SE3 right near Charlton's ground for a few years so have a bit of a Charlton accent still which i hope the turnstile operatives don't pick up on.

You've not looked at the fixture list mate.
Only a couple of games being played in London on Saturday.
More like 8,500:sorted:

id love that. But just dont see it happening,no matter what influence there is to encourage people to go,it just doesnt happen at Brentford.the fact that id love it to be 8500 is bad in itself. We should have no problem getting a full house in a London derby where both teams are doing well
