Maine Road FC's FA Cup tie with Squires Gate will be broadcast live on the BBC Sport website, iPlayer and Red Button on Tuesday.

The 2020-21 FA Cup starts in the extra preliminary round, with the televised tie kicking off at 19:45 BST.

The BBC was originally poised to show Northamptonshire side Burton Park Wanderers' FA Cup debut at home to AFC Sudbury before it was postponed.

Northamptonshire-based Burton Park Wanderers, ready to make their debut in the FA Cup, were relishing the prospect of welcoming both AFC Sudbury and the BBC TV cameras to their Latimer Park ground at Burton Latimar. They play in the United Counties League Division One, at step six level.

Whitchurch Alport 3-1 Haughmond
Whitchurch Alport (step 5 side) away to Westfields from Hereford (step 6 side) next round
Whitchurch Alport goalkeeper got sent off at 3-0. Then it was like the Alamo. Haughmond scored 1 and hit bar and post.
Great banter from the supporters (300 allowed in).

Harborough (The Bees) won 6-1 away. Hoping for a home draw as it’s a 5 minute walk from my house!

I recently moved to Caterham so hoping to get down to a fair few Whyteleafe games.

Anyway, they won 3-1 away to a Glebe side featuring Charlie Macdonald up front and Gary Alexander, who I believe may be manager, on the bench

Decent set-up there. 3G surface. Ambitious club. Invested in the women too, although the side has stalled a little in the last couple of seasons.

Where abouts in Caterham ? Used to go too Whyteleafe a lot, mainly lunch times for the bar there. We used to work for CU. All turned into flats now.
Good memory of the train station at Whyteleafe South, which has a barrier there .. one lunch time it was down and my mate decides to see if he can beat the barrier by driving like a loon up the dual carriageway, around roundabout and down dirt track on other side of the railway line. He did ! I never went in a car again with him after that

Got under way yesterday, with 150-odd ties, all decided on the day (i.e. AET and Pens).

Random local teams:
Hounslow Utd beat Banstead Ath. 6-1, so the 'Dream Derby' against Spartak is still on!

Wembley lost 3-1 away, so no chance of BBC doing yet another of their "With Wembley On The Road To Wembley" features (yawn).

Spelthorne Sports beat Virginia Water 1-0 - a decided blow for the Workers against the Ruling Classes!

And North Greenford Utd lost 1-2 at home to Brimscombe & Thrupp FC, who surprisingly do not win the prize for the most exotic sounding name of the round.

Instead that honour goes to "Northampton Old Northamptonian Chenecks FC" who sadly lost 3-2 away to the more prosaic Long Melford.
I wonder who was the first of their fans to start up with: "Give us an 'N'..."?
And whether he's finished yet?

Sevenoaks Town (A) for Hounslow in the next round. I am planning on heading to Walthamstow vs Cockfosters for the next round. A few good pubs nearby to watch our game first and then some tins on the terrace...what football is all about!

Just occurred to me that this Covid-19 business must be good news for tightwads who never want to buy their round (not you Patto).

They can just stand there with their own drink going: "Sorry mate, you're not in my bubble."

I went to school in Caterham... I guess it's changed a bit since then! Caterham-on-the Hill, with guards barracks and St Lawrence's Hospital (the Metropolitan Asylum!), made it an interesting place. Down in the valley it was much quieter, though.

Highfield Road - just off Croydon Road in Caterham Valley. The hills are taking a bit of getting used to!

Looking forward to getting down there - first game a friendly on Tuesday night V Leatherhead and then I might try and make the FA Cup game on the 12th straight after the Bees match.

I’ve walked down there to have a look - looks a decent setup is Lionel says.

Fisher have sold out their away allocation for the South London Derby with Tooting & Mitcham on Saturday. As secretary of the Fish those are words I never thought I would ever put together in a sentence.

Hopefully attending Broadbridge Heath v Haywards Heath on Saturday.
Game is off and BBH have withdrawn from this seasons competition thus giving Haywards Heath a bye into the next round. .
3 of the BBH side have tested positive for Covid 19.
They sadly lost the home game v Horley Town this Tuesday past as one player tested positive.

Cray Wanderers v Fisher will be played Wednesday 23rd September at Bromley FC.

About the toughest draw the Fish could get after their giantkilling against Tooting & Mitcham. First time at this stage since reforming in 2009.

Sutton Common Rovers v Met Police is on the Wednesday at Sutton United's ground

Only 300 tickets available as they are a CCL team

Should be plenty of room (It must hold 5,000 ??)

Cray can play Fisher, at Bromley in front of fans, but if Bromley get drawn at home to Fisher it will have to be behind closed doors.

Sutton Common Rovers can only host 30% of the required ground capacity for the level they play at (ie non league step 5 which is 1,000). They beat Broadfields United 4-0 on Saturday in the previous round but the main stand was closed due to local health directions in place on Sutton United FC currently.
Gander Green Lane actually holds 5,019 and Sutton United have a BCD friendly v Dulwich Hamlet tonight.

When that happened in a previous round I'm sure the opposition were given a walkover.

I suspect that'll be what happens. If so, that's my FA cup over for this season at least 😫 but I just hope that everyone stays safe and this thing goes away soon. However unlikely that is ☹

Think all those kids behind the goal for the shoot out have probably f***ed attending football matches at any level, for a while anyway.

Slight deviation from the FA Cup, but it didn't seem to warrant a new thread. Just noticed they're still playing last year's FA Trophy – seems a strange anomaly – a Football League team involved in the FA Trophy, with Harrogate beating Notts County in the semi final last night. They'll play Concord Rangers in the final on 27 Sept. FA Vase final is the same day, as usual, at Wembley.
