I remember watching the First Round Draw last year where Bury had been kicked out

Whereas when Spurs (Southern League) won it in 1901, they were the first, and only, non-League team ever to win it following the creation of the Football League in 1888:

(I note from the above report that Spurs beat Sheff U 3-1 in a replay at Bolton. The first game, a 2-2 draw, was played at Crystal Palace in front of 110,820 spectators! )

Better chance of TV if they draw a "big name" EFL side, like Sunderland, Pompey or Bolton. Ipswich another.

I'd guess that if a side like that gets drawn away to non-league opposition, they're pretty much nailed-on to be on the telly.

The NL south and north somewhat shot themselves in the foot because to be able to complete their play-offs last season they had to apply for and be granted elite status.

The flipside was that they weren’t allowed fans when this season started despite some of them only averaging about 400 a game.

Me too. Priory Lane is just a 10 minute walk from my place. Gutted I can't go.
