Wasn't he one of the Krays rivals from Saaff London?
Frankie Fraser... I think his son played for B&HA. You may be thinking of Ginger Marks, though, rumoured to be close to Lionel Road...

He was his nephew. I played football against him a few times at school. Good player back then!

He looked destined to become yet another AS-era youth teamer, who made a handful of appearances (or no appearances at all) and seemed destined to disappear into oblivion, but he came through all that and had a very good career. The other youth teamers who were around the first team squad at the time were such luminaries as Lloyd Anderson, Lewis Ochoa, Lewis Ferrell and James McCluskey.

Newport County v Chelsea Development Squad 24 July 2019.

The visit to Rodney Parade in south Wales will mark a benefit game for Fraser Franks, the former Chelsea Academy defender who played for Newport this season. The 28-year-old was forced to retire from playing football in March on medical advice because of a heart problem.

Fair play to him. That is a good read. I reckon he'd be a good go to person for youngsters who are in that situation

Fraser is doing a fantastic podcast - Football Journeys - looking at the underbelly of the game, starting with the Liverpool youth team of 2013/14 and where they’ve all ended up (we obviously have one of them in our ranks). There are some extraordinary stories in there, well worth a listen.
