I'd be more impressed by Stevie Wonder doing a portrait of Ian Holloway.Did anyone else see the headline on the BBC website: "I'm working on a portrait of Stevie Wonder" - in isolation with Ian Holloway, and think "Is there a gag coming?"
Anyhow, seems he's taken up art - an old interest of his - while in lockdown, he's enjoying it and while I'm in absolutely no position to judge these things, he seems to be giving it a good go.
He really is quite the character, is Olly.
I can only think that players who annoyed him were made to stand sideways against a wall with an apple in their mouth.Grimsby Town have been handed a (suspended) fine by the EFL for not following proper Covid measures etc.
Included in the Beeb's report is this gem:
"Players were allowed to congregate in communal areas at their Cheapside training ground, while the BBC also understands former boss Ian Holloway admitted to investigators that he played darts with some of his players, which he claimed was a training tool."
Grimsby fined for Covid-19 rules breach
"Tool" is a very apposite word, I think...
