BBC Scotland has made a History of Scottish football (since the 1970's basically), in 3 x 1 hour episides, which is now available on iPlayer.
I've only watched the first one, but it's absolutely fascinating stuff, veering wildly from the insane to the bizarre to the, well, even more insanely bizarre eg the Scottish police asking the Hearts team at half-time not to score again against Hibs, for fear of a riot!
