I liked him, a really cultured player although never quite fitted in to a position which suited our style of play at the time. As to why he left...🤐

That‘s right. When selected we tended to play him at right back or occasionally centre back neither of which really worked

Mostly my view was he was slow, not up to English standard of football, and yes I know he was a Maltese international but
it is a very small island, I saw it as a punt that didn't work out.

Steve Perryman's wife and Buttigieg......allegedly......

We were so proud to have an international playing for us!!!!

"We've got a Maltese international!!!" would ring-round GP........
Along with the not so polite song regarding the alleged, aforementioned "affair"......

I was a relative youngster at the time but remember it the other way round... we weren’t up to his standard. The Martin Peters of Griffin Park, football-wise, though clearly rather different off it 😉

I'm a Gzira man myself but Floriana have a good team and have been underperforming of late, hopefully he can turn it around.

I think I am the only Bees fan in Malta so will be flying the flag at Floriana games as soon as they allow a crowd back in.:owusu::hat:
