Aye I was on the train laid on by the club - didn't get home until 4am, can't believe that is nearly 20 years ago
we were on normal train and was at Durham when your train was still on outskirts of London lol

Premier League have fixtures on 26/12 & 28/12, so I am not sure they will put out more than 50% first team & 50% fringe players. Ours are 26/12 Cardiff(a) & 29/12 Bournemouth (h) so we have an extra day for the 3 games

Great views along the river to Tynemouth from there... and there's a pitch in view somewhere down there, too!
It was best not to watch to be fair. Great trip though. Looking forward to this game as in my 55 odd years as a supporter we had only knocked three top division sides out of cups, one of them on pens. Now we have equalled that in about a month. Brilliant for the squad and all of us.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. We are a Prem side in all but actual status and if we were would be easily above Soton, WBW, Fulham and N'castle. (Can't do smiley or fishing things!)

For the first time in my life, I just found myself thinking its feasible we could win a real trophy (ie not one only for non-prem teams).... unlikely for sure but definitely feasible! :)
It's why I've found it so frustrating in recent years that we don't play full strength teams in the cups. Arsenalgate was just shocking. I think it's been feasible for years.

I am not sure we have quite had the quality until last couple of years ie to contemplate beating a top half prem team in a proper cup final. We do now, though it would still at least 25/75 in their favour I think.

Hmm. Not so sure. Funny things, one off cup finals. Long time ago I know, but Sunderland 1973, Southampton 1976, Fulham 2020, shouldn't have had a prayer really. :)

It’s not impossible the Final might have fans allowed in. Ironically at 30-40% capacity Wembley would let us get all STH plus a few more in and we’d have an advantage compared to a 100% capacity game where we’d struggle to sell 30k but none of the potential opponents would.

You don't think we'd sell 30K tickets for our first ever 'proper' Cup Final??!!

We would sell it out...we'd sell the 15k for this home fixture in a heartbeat if we could go, and this is a quarter final. We'd sell 3x that easily for a final.

A proper cup final and everyone and their dog would be going. Though I do suspect talk of making it there is a little premature :)

60/40. (In their favour). I txt my mate saying that benerhama is better than Bale. I was sort of joking!.

I wonder where we will be when that game arrives. Its right in the middle of 4 tough games Watford a, Reading h, Cardiff a and Bournemouth h. 5 games in 14 days. If you add Forest and Brizzle it will be 7 games in 21 days. That will test the strength of the squad!! The upside is it will give all the fringe players plenty of game time to keep them happy.
Wow that is quite a run of games. Up to Thomas to make best use of what is probably the strongest squad we have ever had with almost two quality players for every position. I cannot believe any other team in the division has our strength in depth certainly not at the level of quality we have.

Not sure if this had been mentioned elsewhere, but I hadn't realised the kick-off for this has been announced as 17:30.......... (22/12/2020)

Reckon we'd shift 2000 tickets for this. Ballot for the league games, TAPs for this please ;)
Taps or Longevity used for the Season Tickets? What's the preference here?

So if you've already been picked for a League Game by whatever means is decided should you go to the bottom of the list for this?
