Raya - without him we'd have been out of it before h-t. Ethan and Rico best outfield players

Afraid I just can't see Rico being up there - he's almost always out of position (concentrating too much on attack?) and has to rely on speed to catch up any attack. Interesting that almost every team we play concentrates their attack against him - they must see this defensive weakness.
He's a very good player - but has that big weakness of continually being out of position.

Contenders: Raya, Henry, Pinnock, Jensen, Toney. Look at the shot count and you'll see that Raya probably did more than anybody to impact the scoreline. Ayew had a look of total disbelief that he hadn't scored against him when Raya made that wonderful one-handed save. Add in some very good punches and distribution.

Nonsense! Always out of position seriously? :banghead: your clueless mate. Rico as a great understanding of his positional play and knows when to attack. He dealt with a good midfielder in Jay Fulton, who combined well with Ayew down our left, especially in the first 20mins of the game which Rico done well defensively, the problems he did have is where marcondes was not tracking back and not staying with his runners, hence the verbal between them, but you could see Rico’s point. With Jay Fulton not having much joy with Rico was substituted with Matt Grimes who did put in the cross for there goal after a feeble tackle from Canos down our left.

The weakness you talk about is our left midfielders not tracking back and are too reliant on Rico, this was the same with Benrahma which I know WHU won’t tolerate, also with Norgaard not playing who is great at coming across both ends to cover is a great loss.

Anyway back to the MOM, for me it was defo David Raya who pulled of two brilliant saves and kept us in the game.

PS: larrysigny no need to reply. :poop:
