Ecstatic to see Forss starting against these calibre of players. I’m watching it & it’s the only thing helping without club football what a farce international football has become

Get him in the team. He looks so confident and assured. Even out of position a player full of confidence is worth his shirt.

What a conundrum we have, two top quality strikers. Shame they cant both play because they both deserve to be in the team. Would be tempted to stick forss on the left and try and come up with a formation that can transition between 4-4-2 and 4-3-3. Probably cant be any worse than canos at the moment

It’s only a conundrum if we’re too stubborn to tweak our formation to accommodate two quality strikers.

RMC TV said:
Finland took full advantage of their opportunities to punish France. It will take pride to do better in the second half.

Good lad - a typical Marcus goal - a beauty .... but he did rather have the advantage in that France seemed to be playing in the same direction as Finland

I haven’t watched much of the Bees this season to be honest, can’t really get it up for the BCD atmos, but has Marcus been on the weights?
He certainly looks a stronger player than last season.

Thing is he doesn't have to sit on our bench.IMO a priority should be to adapt a system which starts him on the pitch.
easier said than done though, look how ineffective we were in the last 15 against boro went we went 4-4-2. No point in having two great strikers on the pitch if we don't have the ball! That said, the kid is an absolute beast in front of goal and I'm sure Frank and co are trying to work out how to get the best out of him. Given how many games we've got in the next couple of months I'm sure he'll start a few..

He has to start he is simply too good not to be playing. The reason 4 4 2 didn't work is because frank put all attacking players on and no one to win the ball. If we keep the players in who can win the ball it can work.

No good trying something for just 15 minutes. Start both and if it dont work after an hour go back to where we were.
Just try something different. We have not been great with the present formation.

Quite impressed by Finland. Young side who could be the next emerging football nation in Europe. Top of their Nations league group and could be promoted. Didn't they qualify for the postponed European Championships last summer for their first major championships?

We could consider a diamond midfield and 2 upfront like we played a few times under Rösler in 2012. An example was the 5-2 win over Wycombe (highlights).

It worked well in home games where we knew we would dominate possession, with the full-backs bombing forwards and Saunders in a free role behind the strikers. Perhaps Emiliano or Ghoddos could take that position.

We'd have to rethink our pressing structure, but it would probably work better for us than a more rigid flat 4-4-2.

Who else has graduated from B team to full international?

I know Mepham has but he joined BFC as a Scholar when we were still had a youth setup. Has anyone else?

I doubt that TF is going to radically change the system that the team have worked with over the last few years, which has served us well, just to accommodate one player. The "problem" we have ( if you can call it that) is that we have two very good players both of whom can only largely play in the centre of a front three.

He'll get his chance, but he's still learning. We've got 10 games in December alone so he'll no doubt start a few. He's a cracking finisher but the rest of his game still needs work. I don't think changing formation now when we won't have any time in training to work on it is a good idea. Most teams pack the midfield against us so going down to 2 seems suicidal.

Give Bryan a rest for a few games to restore his mojo and try 4-3-1-2 with Ghoddos behind Forss and Toney. Rico can still bomb forward on the left for width on that side.

Only issue with this is that Bryan is practically the only player with any assists for us! I think Jensen is the only other player with more than 1....

It's the Lampard Gerrald problem Ivan and Marcus want to play in the same position, make the same runs and get on the end of the same crosses. They just end up getting in each others way. That said they're both such good footballers that when the wingers aren't clickiing they'll still end up getting you more goals.
