Dominated for 80 minutes then switched off and conceded 2 sloppy goals. Our lack of attacking threat and finishing plus inability to kill teams off when ahead are continuing major concerns. We need to get this sorted in the summer or we will be murdered next season.

I'm off to call the Samaritans. FFS remind me we did just get promoted didn't we. Disappointing to concede two in the last ten yes the rest of it is incredibly negative.

Switched off after the subs were.made. All the fans were just enjoying the party and most weren't too bothered by the result. Top quality fans again and felt like the years of so many close calls were all put to rest. Time to enjoy the party!

Another generally excellent performance and yet another team we passed off the park while still being wasteful in the final third. Warbs will sort this though. I thought we looked bright and showed MK why we're going up. They looked like a mid-table team playing out the season. CD has never had so much space on the left and should have made better use of it but scored a decent goal in the second half and worked hard. More good performances from JD, Tarks, Craig, Judge and Foreshaw. As for Grigg, I want to like the guy but thought he was a major disappointment today, getting knocked off the ball too easily, not working to find space and by the end looked pretty disinterested. He would get s*** out of a Championship defence on that performance.

Great to see KOC come on to a rousing reception but harsh though it sounds, we lost our way after all the substitutions had been made. We ended up throwing away an easy lead but looked absolute class for large parts of the game and the final result matters not.

Great turn out by the Bees, the pitch invasion was kind of inevitable and it was funny watching the hopeless stewards try to stop it. I am certain we will roll over Colchester, so already looking forward to Sat.

No horses on the pitch but a lovely brown and white mare trotted past the Wetherspoons 20 minutes ago.

We weren't great but they were rubbish. We had the game under control until the subs were made. Grigg disappointing again. Forshaw outstanding and Dallas gave them plenty to think about. We were presented with a gift by their keeper from a corner. The second was a clinical finish from Clayton after a fine through ball from Adam.

Don't know if their pen was a pen. At first it looked like Button saved it. We just switched off for the second.

Great atmosphere. Loads of noise and, at the end of the day, the result didn't matter too much.

Roll on Colchester.

Fine until Douglas went off then we lost control of a match we had totally dominated and conceded two soft and stupid goals.

We stopped holding onto the ball and conceded cheap possession in midfield and up top. Grigg was woeful and Dallas spasmodic. In a way I am not too worried as we had totally dominated up until then and were so much better than an awful MK side.

The last ten just highlights what needs to be done.

We have to get in better strikers and become more ruthless.

We passed them to death but didn't create enough and we were far from clinical with our few chances.

Donaldson had space to spare on the left and had a very good second half and looked a threat.

Forshaw was brilliant for 75 minutes and then disappeared and the first choice back four imperious with Yannaris looking decent.

Two points thrown away and gift wrapped and I suspect MW will not be too pleased about the last few minutes but overall there were many positives.

Yes, we will never achieve anything with this squad.

Back to reality and looking at the way we have cut lose a load of juniors based on the fact they are not good enough for the championship even though they are good enough to turn pro, I expect MW and MB are aware of what it takes to maintain a team in the Champ and are capable of making tough decisions. Lets enjoy the end of this season and congratulate all the players on their contribution to the season before we worry about the next one.

Can we stick to the pitch invasion please because the football is unimportant.

I have heard no horses but were there dogs and maybe a water cannon?
Don't know about dogs. Our mate got thrown out at half time for trying to have a pee.

That was odd. Way too loud, just horrible.

Not sure it warranted a pitch invasion. MK weren't keen so why push it and antagonise them. Just my view. Talking to a MK fan outside and it seems nobody else has bothered to get on to the pitch and several clubs have taken far more fans than we did but still didn't feel the need to get on the pitch. Maybe I'm just too old now.

Understandably, the football was all a bit of an anticlimax, but enjoyed the link up play between Yennaris and Dallas. They look good for the future.Ultimately the day was more about a conga than anything else. Delighted with the reception KOC got and was worth the trip even if only for that moment. Onwards and upwards!!!

Putting Kev at centre half seemed strange, why not play him in Douglas's position ? But the introduction of Saville and Toums should not have resulted in us completely conceding the midfield. Toumani especially was dreadful for the short time he was on the pitch and George not much better.

Disappointing maybe, but it's really not important in the context of what's been a wonderful season.

Dominated possession for an hour with some classy passing and moving but lacked the ability to finish. Hardly missed Sav and Macca against pretty toothless opposition. First goal was a gift from their goalie, second taken well by Clayton after good play from Adam and Dougie.

Unfortunately the subs changed the game - and not in the way we're used to. Taking out Dougie and Tarkowski, with Grigg misfiring (still) left a weaker spine, allowing them back into a game we should never have drawn.

But as many have pointed out it wasn't so much about the football today - great party atmosphere throughout, and great to see KOC edge closer to his 500 apps.

For those that weren't there: at half time they played a recording (very loud) of a female singer operatically delivering The Londonderry Aire.

I assumed that this was a kind of joke. The fat lady was singing, and it was all over for MK Dons' play-off ambitions.

That's all. Don't fret about it.

Some good passing football, with Adam once again making great through balls. Have to say disappointing the Griggs didn't take chance to shine against a below average L1 team. Clayton certainly led by example today put on a good show

haha. think the opera was trying to drown out the bees fans/calm down supporters. like they use classical music in stations these days.

Maybe but the players stopped playing and gave the ball way away far too easily and that's not down to the manager

Exactly. We'd given the call away three times in the space of 30 seconds before the ball ended up coming into our box. An in characteristically collectively poor goals by our standards.

Lets not kid ourselves, we dominated and had the game won and then made subs to give players a run out.
Without Tarkowski we switched off and they grabbed two late goals that would never have happened if it mattered.
The support and the atmosphere in the away end was excellent and the conga more entertaining than most if the football served up.
We were leagues better than them and Adam embarrassed Smith all the time he chased his shadow round the pitch!
Dougie, TC and James looked quality and Nico and Jake both assured and won their battles.
Good to see so many old, happy faces and to put names to a couple of friendly GPGers as well.
Bonus was leaving dead on final whistle and being back in Walton 70 minutes later.
Lots of people seem to have heard the rumours that Sav and Trottas agents have attractive offers from a Championship manager that better what we are likely to have offered. No smoke without fire, see you boys, Warbs and team will find better I have no doubt.

Exactly as I saw it. We were so in control before the substitutions. That point really flatters them.

Not a recording she was on the touchline the other side of Karl Robinson's dug out and was truly shocking and rightly got boo'd by the Bees fans.

As for the game we played well, totally controlled the game and then switched off in the last 10 minutes but the day was about celebrating a great season and I thoroughly enjoyed being there knowing we are going up.

Great reception for KOC and rightly so......and the "there's only one Bob the kit man" song was amusing.

How embarrassingly poor was their support? How empty were three sides of the most depressing, heartless stadium I've set foot in?

Absolutely disgusted. We lacked passion, the team selection was all wrong. How we didn't get ourselves up for this must win game is beyond......er, hang on.....

In my opinion, the players barely gave a toss. They played within themselves. Us fans celebrated the Franchise goals, and this was quite a subdued affair. Can't read anything into this at all.

Just enjoy the next 2 games.

We drew :(

MK were poor.

The screeching at half time was awful - it was live, not a recording.

King Kev's now on 498. :kingkev:

A good journey up and back. :)

We're going up! :owusu:

MW makes poor substitutions :fishing:

Totally dominant, exhibition stuff
MK Dons awful. Unnecessary subs led to the equaliser - Toums gave it away and generally his passing was poor. Very sorry to say that Grigg did nothing over 90 mins. He lost the ball and didn't chase back. I think his days are over. Trotta should have replaced him. Soft penalty and Toims would have prevented the equaliser. Everyone else played MK off the park. The need for a proven goal scorer is clearer than ever. Sam was missed for free kicks. Great support, an unnecessary draw when the game was in the bag. Sloppy last ten minutes, and need to make clearer scoring chanced. Not that the result mattered. Saville sometimes overruns ball or is caught out. A few additions and we'll cement our place in second tier. Good chat with Chiswick Bee and thanks to Whyteleafe Bee for lift.

Yes, I think I may be getting too old too, but I do worry about pitch invasions. I saw a steward intent on dragging one of the invaders off the pitch. The youth became rather wound up by this. Fortunately he kept himself under control, but just imagine if the steward had picked on the wrong guy who chooses to lump him one. It doesn't take a wild imagination to foresee a situation develop in which fans overstep the mark. Someone said on here, after Friday's victory, that even Brentford cannot screw it up from here. Well we could if we managed to convince the authorities that we can't control our fans, and they then see fit to hit us with a points deduction.
