Thanks hobbsy.
All signed up and ready to go on my iPad but .....
.... has anyone had any luck downloading the FA Player App on their SmartTV yet?
I‘ve ’searched’ for it using the TV utility but it can’t ‘find’ it :(

Don’t have any further info on this but a work colleague who supports Middlesbrough states a load of first team and back room staff have tested positive for COVID and training ground shut down.
If true then they may have to play their B team or academy team as that’s what Derby have been ordered to do

Not ordered, Derby said they are glad to give the younguns a go. Chorley will be given a walkover otherwise.

tough days ahead. oh dear.

fit, young players have a far better prospect of batting away covid in a week or two thankfully.

our local hospital on the south coast has 450 covid patients as of this morning.

stay safe you bees - and others in the larger football family too.

At present, unlike a club down here, they don’t think it will effect their ability to play the game. Might be a bit cynical but maybe if it was a league game they might have a different opinion !!!
Warnock himself had to isolate after a positive test earlier in the season and they didn’t moan about having to play league fixtures with the manager being 300 miles away from training and games.

Are Brentford really happy to play any side from Middlesbrough at the moment considering this news?

In order to stop the spread, I think the club should be asking for reassurances from boro if the game goes ahead.

We would only be playing those who tested negative, so I don't see an issue there. Everyone who would play would have been tested.

An negative at time of test, not necessarily negative at time of game. Risk can only be mitigated not eradicated.

Looks like Covid has hit Boro badly, they are bringing in a number of youth team players.

If the Villa game gets called off tomorrow, this game may be seriously in doubt.

Why are Derby having to play while Southampton and Shrewsbury have had a postponement?

I don't geddit. What's the Villa game got to do with this one?
Chain reaction.
They may be cancelling tomorrow's clash with Liverpool. If there are no FA consequences, I can see other clubs cancelling too.

You can get test results in half an hour now
You can, but those tests are far less accurate. Also if you got a test today in half an hour why does that mean you'll still be negative on Saturday or by your next match day?
As I stated testing assists in identifying and reducing spread but doesn't eradicate risk.
Premier League clubs have far more testing than most jobs but the spread is still happening.

Does anyone know if the match will be shown on iFollow outside the UK? The FA Player is UK only.
yay, Czech not listed there :(

Perhaps you could use a VPN.
this is my hope...

hesgoal ?
that's also a "perhaps", no guarantee :(

it's quite a pain in the arse that all this greed stops fans from seeing their team. i'd happily pay. but there seems to be no simple format. oh well...

I think Derby have said they can field a team (their U-23s) whereas Shrewsbury can’t.

I think most clubs just want it out the way.

It’s effectively a youth competition this season.
