Chelsea - Luton today. Praising Werner for cleverly picking out his strike partner for the goal. The pass was intended for the far post player and took a mahoosive deflection off a Luton defender into the path of Tammy Abraham.

Commentator in the same game just reeled off a load of stats about how many goals Luton have scored away from home this season and said they need two to take it to extra time.

He made it sound like there was 15 minutes to go, rather than 15 minutes gone.

With 15 to go, they'll probably need four.

Hoddle and Co saying that Leicester being without Vardy for a lengthy period is going to be crucial form them, when BR had already said he will only be out for about 10 days.

She kept saying "he's a difference maker"
WTF is that?

I know it's the wrong thread but Charlie Austin is very good and defying my expectations on the radio tonight.

BBC Sport text description of our equaliser tonight....

"This game has been wide open in the opening half an hour and I was by no means expecting Zak Vyner's third-minute goal to be the only one we saw this evening. Alas, it isn't."

Don Goodman tonight: "you don't get penalties for that".

The incident he was referring to was Toney, mid-jump, having a two-handed shove in the middle of his back.

He's far from the worst co-commentator but he refuses to go against the referee's decision, regardless of the evidence in front of him!

I don't mind Don Goodman, at least he sounds passionate about what he's saying. That said what he says rarely sticks in the memory...

Right.
Need some help.
Hard day at work just finished, so the last thing I need to hear is Alvin Martin on Talksport say this about Chelsea:

"You wouldn't back against them not being in the top 4"

😱🤪
Does he think they'll be top 4 or not??!!
😫😰

I think he thinks they'll be in the top four. Maybe. Or maybe not.

Well at least that will be correct.
That Hinchcliffe drives me nuts and seems to be on nearly every game
I wish we were able to mute individual commentators during the game.

McManaman is the worst. Twitter goes in meltdown whenever he is on, fans despise him!

If I were to walk by mistake into a pub full of Millwall supporters whilst wearing a Brentford shirt, I would feel confident if Pearson was by my side. I like the story of how he was on a walking holiday in Romania (I think) and fought off a pack of wild dogs with his walking stick. Millwall supporters would have no chance. He makes a change from usual pundits although Quest usually vary their guests effectively.

..........checking the validity of the above story I discover he was actually attacked by a pack of wolves and survived by gouging out the eye of one of them frightening the others away. Blimey.

The worst commentator in the history of football is Gary Weaver!🤮
He finds a mundane fact about a team or player then repeats it for a year. The whole "BMW" thing last year that drove everyone nuts was down to him.

Hinchcliffe has it for me, he must have been one hell of a player because he always knows what they should of done,
that includes Goalkeepers and Strikers, and I don't think he was either in his playing days, just wish there was a
mute button when you could turn individual ones off.

There’s so much rubbish out there, but then Sky put Souness and Keane on together. Forthright, knowledgeable and not a word wasted. Fantastic.

Because they dont care about criticising players. Makes it so much more believable and engaging
