It was a great story about him turning up with his Blackpool team kicking us off the pitch, winning 1-0, our players "moaning and crying" and his captain throwing a bees player through the home dressing room door. He then described how much he enjoyed the journey home. Seriously came across as an absolute tool - no recognition of a great old stadium just pure self indulgence "look what my successful northern hardman style did to the soft southern pansies" His whole performance was a please give me a job pukefest!

If my memory serves, i don't think his team enjoyed the walk to the team coach very much.
If it's the game I'm thinking about it very lively outside the front of GP.

I am trying to remember the game I was at when he played against us and the opposing team got a free kick about 35 yards out. The legendary "bloke behind me" muttered "I suppose fecking Allardyce will take it with his head."

Apart from his 'witty anecdote', he contributed zilch to any match analysis, doing a John Murray with his statements of the bleeding' obvious. It's clear he know-nothing about the Championship.
