Completely agree, comes across really well, very mature, humble (with the edge of confidence an elite sports person needs), competitive and like a few team player that’s bought in to what Brentford are about.I think that interview will put a lot of minds at rest. Particularly interesting to hear of the Pontus connection. Very excited about our forward options!
I didn’t get an answer in the other thread, so I’m asking again.Apologies if this has been done before, but how is his name pronounced? Does it rhyme with boss, rose or slow? I expect the Gh is one of those sounds that English speakers never get right!
Boss. Listen to the interview.I didn’t get an answer in the other thread, so I’m asking again.
Thanks. Will do.Boss. Listen to the interview.
An interview without saying erm or err! My idol!
Poor Toney, forgotten already.... GMT now, who's this B fella? So is the front three now BMG, GMB, or have we downgraded the BMW to an MGB?![]()
A welcome commitment for those who thought there were times Said showboated a bit too much, glorious though it was to watch when it came off and led to something!Nice to hear in his interview he’s going to basically stick to the basics no need for flicks and tricks(my interpretation is that he’s matured) - don’t normally hear someone downplay what they will do when they join a new team.
If his shirts start flying out of the shop, then that will be impressive! For me I haven't seem him really impress in a Bees shirt (apart from his introductory interview and some of the training vids).
You leave IT alone , we will all be kissing his boots soon enoughPoor Toney, forgotten already.... GMT now, who's this B fella?
I know - I brought him back after @Bizzy Bee left him out of the front three...You leave IT alone , we will all be kissing his boots soon enough![]()
l’ve been quite lucky. Been to Iran a couple of times, and been all over the country (except Mashad, Azeri Regions/the Caspian Sea, or Khuzestan area). Loved it.@Silly Hat well to be honest with you as you've witnessed yourself in the game you attended in 2009, we're crazy about football, I personally cannot stop the massive amounts of people commenting on social media. and I must say many of those aren't really polite and many of them are really polite, it's like this everywhere in the world. I would say just enjoy the revenue that the new followers bring in and enjoy the moment.
i think it's quite funny, what got you to Iran in 2009 and attend a football match? crazy isn't it? 100K people attending league matches! i remember attending a WCQ and man the atmosphere made my body shake!
on another note, The Iranian national team has 2 friendlies coming up soon and I would say he will be invited for sure.
So impressive! don't want to make it political but i just wish we didn't have this evil regime so you could have an even much better experience.l’ve been quite lucky. Yes a really nice interview and a very nice guy, he'll fit in well. Looking forward to seeing him play.Lovely interview. Seems like an A1 guy.
Probably been shared before, but for excitements sake, take a look at his 2019.
Haven't seen a Bees player knuckle the ball like that since Pritchard.

This fella could make a serious difference to those sides that sit back behind the ball.Haven't seen a Bees player knuckle the ball like that since Pritchard.

1. Smash it in from 30 yards.
2. Set plays. Win a free kick. Smash it in from 20-25 yards.
The only other player we've got that leathers it from a bit of distance is Josh. I reckon Bryan might if encouraged. We haven't had a decent free kick specialist since Saunders.
welcome aboard, enjoy the ride !Hi everyone, I'm an Iranian-American living in the US. Saw one of our special players is on his way over. Good luck. He really is a special one. Dumb stuff w his fine/ban but he has always been a tireless worker and meshes well with the teams he has played for. Looking forward to following Brentford!

Ooh! Chance of him achieving legend status in his very first match?International Clearance has gone through.![]()
whilst he hasn’t played for a few weeks he has done pre-season and played a few games in Ligue 2 so it’s not like he’s totally unfitDepends on his fitness. I imagine he may get 30 mins against Fulham
That is a fantastic interview.
