Quite difficult to work out how we'll set up from that.3-5-2?

Would guess 5 at the back, cant believe Goode is playing in midfield with Jenson on the bench.

Will all the changes upset our passing game. Not got the players to retain the ball as we normally do

Stoke have played with 3 CB's for a while so I guess we're matching up.

It is probably going to be a second ball battle so we need to fiend our strongest players.

With our midfield options spread so thin right now I think we might see this formation a handful of times in the coming weeks. Until one of Marcondes, Baptise and Norgaard returns we can't really expect Janelt, Josh and Jensen to play 90 minutes every 3 days or so (add in Jensen and Josh also playing international football too)

Looks like 5-2-3 to me. I'm worried that we will get overrun in midfield, but hope to be proven wrong.
I mean I think it's quite clearly the 343 from a couple of season's ago/start of last season 🤷‍♂️

We can bring on 3 attacking subs near the end when 1 nil down to a Stoke bundled header and go into that crazy kamikaze attack formation we used in the final mins at the end of last season v Stoke/Barnsley/Fulham 😊

Absolutely fine with trying something new against this lot. Remember the games at the end of the season where we all wished there was a plan B? This is our Plan B, very happy to see us trying it at Stoke, all things considered.

Yeah, cos that turned out well in all three of those games!

Don’t really trust Goode or Sorensen as centre backs in a back two, glad Frank has gone for a back 3.

Though I think we could have stuck Dalsgaard at right centre back and moved Canos to RWB

I totally agree with that and would have had Fosu start

Is there no free audio commentary on ifollow??
Strange; I have just looked and it is not there; I have a Season Audio pass as well; although this afternoon I have spend the £10 to watch so no personal impact.

Then it was a desperate last throw with a back 3 including Norgaard, at least it seems today to be something planned for and capable of execution with three actual CBs to prevent a sucker punch.

It’s the formation we should have adopted in those three games when things weren’t going so well.
Can be a very attacking formation and definitely gives more help in midfield.
Good to see TF etc being flexible.

Generally I hate it when we play with three centre backs but against Stoke away it might work.
Probably a needs must scenario given injuries and knocks. Ghoddos will have to play a critical role in providing creativity in attacking third and providing link between midfield and Toney.

Agent Mepham doesn’t understand the rule , scored Bournemouth’s equaliser I. 6th minute of added time

We win by 2 clear goals and we go above Bournemouth, equal points and goals if it a win by 1 goal

I don’t like playing 3 CBs but probably needs must. As others have mentioned had we gone to 3 CBs when Norgaard went off, we may well have held on against Preston

I thought so too re Canos - I guess that will be our plan B if things aren't going so well. That said, Dalsgaard is pretty good going forwards

A more tighter, defensive lineup, in comparison to last season. Hopefully a case of lessons learned. Don't have a problem with the lineup given the players available.

3-4-3 for sure. Looks like TF has set out the team looking at how Stoke play and used it for some much needed squad rotation.
