Actually thought the first half was his worst for us by a mile! Didn't get on the ball enough, gave it away, wasn't supporting Dalsgaard, little or no threat going forward, but then he has this happy knack of being in the right place at the right time. Follows up Toney's shot first half, then a lovely finish inside the box second half. Much better second half when it opened up. I do like the way he's always looking to get into the box. We've certainly improved on that since earlier in the season when Toney would be the only man there with 4 defenders on him.

He is a bit like an old first division (premier league now) player of 1970s and 1980s .... got some tricks gets in box likes to take a Player on a tad unpredictable but will score goals. Sort of player that in recent years those more unpredictable attributes would have been schooled out of him

Bless him, poo’d himself in the sky interview. But superb tonight didn’t stop working/getting stuck in, while showing some real moments of quality. Well done lad.

Love the image of Sam Saunders getting ‘stuck in to him’ in the canteen tomorrow for his interview skills

Seems a nice understated young guy, shy even. His confidence must be going through the roof. Great man management by Thomas
I think this shows what a club we have. We are developing players like Fosu better that any other club can . He just gets better and better, imagine him under someone like Warnock. He wouldn’t stand a chance.

Have to agree with those saying he should be 1st choice now. I still wish he was just a little bit faster but you can see how he has improved under TF. Excellent today.

Very pleased for the young man. Definitely one who fits very nicely into the no dickheads policy. Keep it going. :giggle:

T and J for £500,000 each. Our player identification and acquisition is amazing.

Well, have to say hands up he's surprised me. Didn't think he could have as much of an impact as he is currently. Him and Canos today were superb, both committing defenders and getting intelligent balls into the box. Really good to see.. Mbeumo's got a battle on his hands I think!

Am I the only one that thought Sam Saunders comments was a bit uncalled for. Yes he seemed shy but a Brentford Employee should not mentioned he will have words about his interview skills. I don’t Give a flying f*** about his interview skills more what he does on the pitch and he has recently excelled.

750k!! Another Brentford bargain! Much better player than the one at Oxford. Great improvement in a year!

I’ll be surprised if you’re NOT the only one to be honest. It just seemed a bit of light hearted banter and gave the impression that the training ground is probably a good laugh.

Thing is, when you look at Fosu, Ivan, Rico, Ethan and JDS for example, what the hell were the bigger, wealthier clubs in the Championship doing to allow us to sign them from under their noses?

I kinda get that they can't/dont trawl eg the French 2nd division or Danish Superleague etc, but these players are (effectively) just up the road

Brings far more to the table than Bryan. Should keep his place.
Luckily it's a squad game and we don't have to match players off against each other. Mbeumo is quality and Fosu has improved massively this season - aren't we lucky.

I got the impression that TF didn't really fancy him earlier in the season.
He has taken his chance and some 👏👏

I think it's more a case of we were working on his game, much like we did with DaSilva. Oxford and Charlton fans all said he was very inconsistent. We seem to be getting that out of him now. All down to hard work. We do seem to be really, really good at developing players..

After losing one of his goals on Saturday he’s now only been credited with one assist against Brizzle. Curses to Bentley’s glove and the crossbar!

To be honest, and I said this on the match thread, when many fans were pushing for him to start (mainly on twitter) I didn't get it, I liked him but thought he was a decent squad option but since he got his chance he has more than taken it, has been excellent lately. The added benefit to this is that it means we can reintroduce Bryan without rushing him back.

Both Sergi and Tarique must be pains to play against as they are like energizer bunnies and always looking to make something to happen. What they have added to their games is a calmness that if a direct option is not on they will keep the ball and play to someone in a better position even if it means going backwards. Both of the. Also provide decent protection to their respective full backs.

I think many of us saw him as an add on for Baptiste in the deal. Obviously Baptiste gas had his problems but Fosu has proved way more than just a squad option. He fits in very well and has as much right to demand a starting place as much as anyone else. Mbeumo will usually play ahead of him but he is much better than the 500k/750k we paid for him!

I said earlier in the season there's not much to him apart from pace. I happily take it back. Seems to have really adapted well to being one of the more experienced players in the squad, and he has a great air of confidence about him that is translating into quality performances. Three great assists.

Perhaps he doesn't have the raw talent of some of the wingers we've had in recent years, but his determination to make the most of what he has and learn how to contribute to the team makes up for an awful lot. No reason why he can't continue to improve!

Absolutely love Tariqe, always seen the potential in him. Taken it to another level this season top player & humble person. Proving to be a key squad player & our lucky charm at the moment!

What I like about him is that he moves around the pitch and doesn't hug the line although he seems to be there when an outlet is needed. Makes him difficult to mark.

I think its more to do with the fact that they want instant impact. We are happy to play the long game and develop these players into the players we want. It's self fulfilling as well. The more we do it, the more we can attract the best young talents.

Doesn't really matter whether they are officially assists or not. Anyone who watched the game knows he made all three goals. I thought we'd really miss JDS's ability to run past players but Fosu did that brilliantly. Good enough to be regular starter now

Don't think he'd be in many peoples first choice team if everyone was on top form. Yet you could also make a case that Tariq,'s contributed as much as anyone to our current position. Arrived here with out too much pressure in terms of fan expectation but is utterly reliable and will stick to the jobs Thomas asks him to do. Reminds me a bit of Trevor Steven in Bobby Robsons England side or Mark Allbrighton at Leicester. Enough skill to progress the move forward with the best passing or crossing option and the intelligence to be in the right place at the right time.

What's important is that he's part of our inventory of attacking players. Between Mr. T, Mbeumo and Canós, each brings something different. What Tarique brings is more experience and better decision-making, while Bryan has the left foot and body strength and Sergi is more technical and difficult to play against but still needs the decision-making. They're all learning and improving, which is quite scary!

Put in Toney in the middle and possibly Marcondes and Ghoddos taking up the 10 role, then we have a potent mix to play with.
