Quite a few looking knackered but not much in the way of choice to swap things out. Assuming Mads is back and Janelt comes in as we rotate midfield again..

Raya, Dalsgaard, Pinnock, Sorenson, Henry, Janelt, Jensen, DaSilva, Ghoddos, Toney, Mbeumo

Subs Daniels, Thompson, Goode, Marcondes, Forss, Fosu, Canos

I don’t know why I think this but think Forss may start instead of Ghoddos. With Janelt in midfield he can provide some extra defensive cover filling in gaps allowing Rico to push further forward on left so allowing Forss to drift inside to support Toney when we are on the attack. May well also cause Boro an issue as they play 3 4 3 so could ping their wing backs back as defenders so allowing us to boss midfield and starve them of ball.

I doubt Thomas is going to select a team to sit deep and defend, playing for the 0-0.

Sounds about right.

Looking back on Tuesday I don't think we can underestimate the physiological data that needs to be considered when Thomas picks his team, The players are clearly knackered and injuries to key players would really scupper our season. Amazed how consistentently Rico and Ethan hold to such a high standard, maybe they are at least getting a rest in the international breaks. Toney can't be dropped but everyone else should be protected if possible. Even Josh DS was showing the inevitable drop off in form tiredness can bring on Tuesday so maybe only Marcondes , who's not been great but isn't on international duty, should be expected to play another 90 minutes.

We massively miss Jansson & Norgaard
We simply have to stop the midfield of Jensen & Marcondes together it doesn’t work it’s lightweight
Canos shouldn’t be picked over Fosu anymore he deserves his chance
Ghoddos will come good but needs more time to bed in

This. Although Ghoddos' precise role may be tweaked depending on Warnock tactics and set-up.

Yep agreed on that line up - only possible change is Fosu for Ghoddos who hasn't brought much to the party since he signed.

TF confirms Mads still out and it's the same squad as Tuesday to choose from. He says Pontus and Christian will hopefully be in contention for Wycombe. Roerslev getting closer and Baptiste out for another couple of months.

I agree but I don't think Ghoddos especially as TF in recent games have started him 1 in 2. I expect Canos to start but hope Fosu is given a chance.

I saw enough from Sergi last week to start with him. I'd much rather he plays the first 60 minutes than the last 30 with us holding a narrow lead. Ghoddas still needs time and don't believe Fosu offers more as a starter. Otherwise, same team as suggested by Mr C.

IT seemed to be covering more of the pitch versus Swansea. Was this the plan, or frustration of seeing the ball so rarely, or was he trying to drag his marker about. It is tempting to have Marcus and IT on the pitch for long enough to see if the can cause the Boro defence some problems, and I dont really mean when IT has run himself out for the first 75 mins

Is it me or am I imagining various threads being taken over and turned into fantasy games?

Not sure you are right there, had Fosu and Baptiste worked out/stayed fit I doubt if either would be making the bench
I think you're right, maybe I was a bit harsh on Thomas ?..... Just watched his interview, same squad as Swans game, no Mads Bech. It was a very nice honest interview.

Neither Balcombe nor Stevens in B team squad today so assume both are with the first team

Good, I’d like to see more of Stevens, not sure this is the game for him but Henrik worries me too often these days

Bit harsh on Fosu, he has hardly been given any game time to be judged like that.
Who’s being harsh ?the fact is he’s been available for most games and played for his country but not getting any game time must be down to the coaches not being impressed

A lot of negativity on here. I think the four instead of three day gap will help. You must develop second choice players and not necessarily drop players on one weaker performance when the trajectory is right.

Well he must have been really poor in training then, with some of the performances of players ahead of him. I dont know if he will be any better than Canos or Ghoddas in that role, but at least give him a chance before writting him off.

I expect you are right can’t be any other reason he’s not being selected to start.

One shot on target against Swansea. Will need more than that today.
Ivan Toney has scored more than 'Boro so far this season. It's not going to be a goal-fest, though.
