Might prefer Janelt to Marcondes myself. When it comes to the subs - Thomas please bring on Fosu not Canos! Forss for Ivan if he appears to be struggling. If not he stays on please.

Luton will not play like Norwich. They will battle & press and are doing much better this season. If played together, Marcondes & Jensen (despite recent good form) will get out fought in the middle and we will not see enough of the ball. I agree with Ruislip that Janelt is a better bet. I would actually really like TF to use this game to put Toney & Forss up front together (giving Bryan a rest for the first hour), but doubt he will.

I like that but please tell me about the Mbeumo fan club. He has been consistently poor. Fosu for him.

Fosu is becoming one of those players whose reputation gets better the less he plays.

Quite like him though and would have no problem if he gets game time on Sat.
yep, people are now talking about playing him ahead of Mbuemo. Insanity.. Would be good to bear in mind that out of his cameos, Fosu's best performance so far has been at right back.. (though he did score I think v Sheff W before lockdown?)

Yep that'll do for me - don't want to see Marcondes and Jensen together unless it is at home to a weak team where they won't get pressed high up the pitch

what like Norwich?? Luton have lost to Stoke, Millwall and Watford. Doesn't look like they like it up 'em either.. We'll be fine whatever midfield three we put out.. Loads of positive signs from Tuesday that our attacking side is developing, expecting that to continue tomorrow.. :sorted:

This, for me. I can perhaps see some merit in starting Forss (ahead of Fosu) but that would mean playing either him or Toney out of position which doesn't seem ideal to me.

Mbeumo could do with being rotated and may enjoy the opportunity to come on fresh when others are tiring.

Do you not think Mbuemo might benefit from some bench time though? I agree, he is a better player overall than Fosu, but there needs to be some rotation and I think Fosu has done well enough in the cup games to warrant a start (and certainly should be ahead of Canos in the pecking order right now).

No, I think what Mbuemo needs is more game time with Toney and Ghoddos, there were signs of them starting to link up on Tuesday and that's only going to get more consistent with game time. At the moment Ghoddos doesn't look like he's ready for a full 90 so happy for Fosu to get a chance later in the game..

This would be my team also. I can see Ghoddos getting better and better now and influencing more.

But that would leave only two in centre mid so we'd definitely get outbattled.

Weather conditions here (well, 5 miles away from the slums) are terrible at the moment, heavy rain and strong gusts of wind. Wont be a classic game of football if this keeps up!
