Suspect we'll see a little rotation, would think we'll want to keep Janelt fit for the boro game, it being a more physical encounter so suspect we'll go back to a similar line up as v Norwich..

Raya, Dalsgaard, Pinnock, Sorenson, Henry, Jensen. DaSilva, Marcondes, Ghoddos, Toney, Mbeumo

Subs: Daniels, Thompson, Goode, Janelt, Canos, Forss, Fosu

assuming no injuries or knocks I’d say this is a good call. As you say Janelt will come back for Boro game as will probably Canos

I would play the same team as Luton. I understand the rotate logic, but think Canos needs games to cement the rediscovery of his mojo, and simply don't like a midfield with Marcondes and Jensen playing together, particularly away from home

I have refound my trust in TFs team selection, I certainly was doubting it after Stoke, the substitutions vs Norwich and before the game against Luton.
TF knows far more about how the players are doing than we can possibly know. And know he isnt infallible but I need to trust his judgment more.

This one doesn't seem to be on the red button - no option to record other games at the moment on Sky Sports Football or Main Event at the moment...

I would play Janelt as they seem to play with a number 10. I'd rotate Marcondes for Jensen. I'd use Ghoddos fresh legs and keep Mbuemo as recently he has been doing a lot of defensive tracking back which is really valuable in this system.

Raya, Dalsgaard, Pinnock, Sorenson, Henry, Janelt, DaSilva, Jensen, Ghoddos, Toney, Mbeumo

There are some lovely options on the bench if we need to change it up.

Subs: Daniels, Thompson, Goode, Marcondes, Canos, Forss, Fosu

Reminds me of an AA confession.

Yeah, probably the one occasion when it has, but granted it was against tomorrow's opposition! Would still prefer Janelt, JDS, plus.
Worked pretty well v Norwich too just last week.. thought we were excellent against them. V solid and created good opportunities. Really should have won that game against top opposition.

It did at times, yes, but would still prefer Josh and Vitaly and one or the other of MJ or EM.

Posted this in the Forss thread but think its worthy of consideration..

With the injuries at centre mid, would TF tweak it to 4231? Play Canos on the left, Brian on the right and Ghoddos behind Toney. Could even play Forss inside left. Would be a slight tactical change but not too radical and wouldn't require disturbing the defensive line.

From the below looks Sky won't be showing games on the red button if they are regularly scheduled and on the red button:

A statement from Sky Sports said: "We can only show rescheduled, displaced midweek games or games taking place away from Saturday at 3pm that aren't part of a regular midweek round on the red button where respective clubs stream them on their iFollow app."

Yeh, but we can't play that every game, we'll have to be flexible.. Sometimes you need a little more creativity than brawn..

I read that as them not showing displaced or rescheduled games. They should show the regularly scheduled ones. Badly written statement though!

I wouldn't recommend it against a 3-4-3 formation given the wide settings and space Cooper expects his wingbacks to occupy offensively. Man Utd played a diamond on Sunday and were undone by a well-drilled 3-4-3 and they actively targeted AWB and Luke Shaw.

Only opinions but losing a man in that middle third and playing an attacker more centrally will only play into their hands imo.

That makes sense, you clearly know more than i about such things so I'll go with your opinion. Question; could it potentially lead to an overload on their back 3 with 2 vs 2 in the middle of the park if we went more direct? Anyway, not going to happen. 4-3-3 I think.

From a deep position or directly from a Raya kick a la Luton on Saturday yes (probably).

I doubt the bloke doing the graphics knows the starting line up over 24 hours in advance.
Me neither but he's probably correct due to the rotation policy that Thomas appears to be doing.

I get the rotation, but for tonights game I would like TF to play what he feels is our best starting 11. 3 points tonight get us right in the mix.
