Fosu at RB, what because he played there in a cup game 2nd string?
Dalsgaard is not fit enough to play every game there.

Who else (fit) in the squad can play in that position?

I do agree that if Dalsgaard is struggling then Fosu is the obvious replacement at the moment.

Also easy to write Fosu off as 'only' played against Fulham's second string, but that second string contained a sizeable number of their play off final winning side that beat us at Wembley and certainly equal to the majority of the Championship sides we're likely to face this season.

Does seem we can't rely on last years back four to perform week in week out to that standard.Need to revolve in Thompson,Goode,Sorensen and maybe Fosu but only one at a time to be fair on them. Toneys form up front gives the wingers a bit more time to find their form.

There's no width in that formation. Doubt TF would choose this line up ?

Obviously go back to 4 in defence. I'd play Sorensen as right centre back as Pinnock and Henry have a good understanding on the left. Even though Sorensen isn't right footed I think the advantage he gives us with long throws is useful. The three fit midfielders pick themselves.
I think playing Toney and Forss is irresistible when they are both in goalscoring form. I'd tweak formation to 4-3-1-2 and play Ghoddos in his favourite position as number 10. That way we don't have to play Forss wide, where he'll be less effective. The downside is that we lose width in attack but fullbacks can have licence to get forward with Janalt protecting defence

Perhaps inclusions and exclusions from today’s b team game may be instructive given the current injury issues

Totally agree, our wide players are not performing so Im with this system. Only issue would be Jenson and Ghoddas getting in similar postions.

Controversial or not, I don't think it matters too much at the moment who is selected. I just feel that there are too many 6/10 performances allied to a lack of 'determination' to WIN. ....and I'm also not too sure how FIT we are?
We're a youngish group and, with matches coming up thick & fast, we should be able to outrun teams ..... we used to be able to do that.
Also, maybe our sports psychologists need to impart a bit more of M.A.'s PMA. We need to get back a WINNING MENTALITY, (8 wins on the spin would be nice) and quickly.
Individually we have talent, but we need to convert that talent into solid, determined TEAM performances.
I think it WILL come with Ghoddos & Janelt getting up to speed, and players returning from injury, but collectively we just need to show more of a DETERMINATION TO WIN!!!

Dalsgaard Goode (no one else to pick!) Pinnock Henry

DaSilva Janelt Jensen

Fosu Toney Ghoddos
Think given our lack of RB cover need Fosu as he's dilligent defensively and will offer a tired HD more cover than BM against Cantwell, etc.

Wycombe sat in a 4-4-2 and it nearly worked so this system above allows us to flex to a 4-4-2 and play Ghoddos as a 10 behind IT if we're under the cosh. Think we need two banks of four but still still play in a 4-3-3 to profit on the break.

The coaches and back room staff have their work cut out assessing players fitness levels with the number of games coming up along with the injury list. You can be sure there will be a lot of shuffling the pack over the coming weeks especially with players like Ghoddes Goode and Janelt who would not have been starters if we had a fully fit squad and would have been used sparingly.

I agree with the sentiment of a few suggesting Forss should start but I just can't see TF going 442 anytime soon. And neither can see him playing Forss as a winger. It's great to finally have two inform strikers on the books tho. Concern at RB as Henrik must be knackered and Canos and Goode must not start....Would probably go with:
Raya
Dalgaard..Sorensen..Pinnock..Henry
Desilva..Janelt..Jenson
Mbeumo..Toney..Ghoddos

dont think a 0-5 defeat is what we need now

Buendia and Cantwell v Bates  🙏

Although Millen alongside Pinnock would be ok :sorted:

It is vital that we get a win after the Stoke result.

This would be my team although I expect a few to disagree as there are a couple of unorthodox choices:

Raya
Fosu Dalsgaard Pinnock Henry
Mbeumo Dasilva Jensen Ghoddos
Toney Forss

Dalsgaard CB and no holding midfield.

This has football manager 2020 written all over it.

Raya,
HD, Goode, Pinnock, Henry
JDS, German lad, Jenson
Ghoddos, Toney, Forss

No width at all, or even anyone who could go on the outside to beat a player come to that.

I never really got the hang of this thread Nick, is it the team who want to see play or the team you think the manager picks.

Anyway, I want to see Forrs and Tony start (to rival Forster/Taylor and the Holdswort/Blisset partnerships). I don't care about formations, their both goal machines so both must play. Imho.

Mads will be missing from this game - I really hope Goode puts a better shift in!

We put in our best performance of the season against SW imo so id go with the same team we put out there with either Mads or Goode for Janson.

Fosu Henrick Pinnock Henry
Janelt Dasilva Jenson
Mbeumo Toney Forss
Goode for HD at the back.
Much though I'd like to see Forss and Toney up front together, I'd put Ghoddos in for Forss.

This, but Toney swapping for Pinnock. I honestly don't think you are playing enough players out of their natural position! Maybe we should try revolving goalkeepers!
Toney puts in a decent shift defensively and Pinnock needs more goals in his game so yeah, why not! 😂
