Can we please close this thread (and all threads mentioning this cup tie) for a while - just in case any of the players read the site. We want them to concentrate first on Cardiff - then on Bournemouth. Let's get them won before we even mention the League cup.

Tongue in cheek comment I presume?

I remember them all well though I’m not sure 1992, 1998 and 2000 could be considered recent!
The one I remember most was the second leg of the 2000 game. 0-0 at GP then we had an injury crisis for the 2nd leg -I saw the team sheet and thought we were going to get hammered. 0-0 with about 15 mins left Scott Partridge puts a one on one over the bar. Sadly the rest is history.
Comment from Noades after the game was that when Spurs brought on Ramon Vega he sensed we had a chance

Will you also be asking Twitter, Instagram and Facebook to do the same?

Happy with that I think. Of the three they're the most likely to have an off day which is realistically our only chance..
My Spurs said exactly the same! This draw is the best chance for either side to progress!!

Good draw given the limited travel if it was to be a midweek away day in a very tight schedule. Their twitterati have already ticked this one off so it should make for an interesting match on a very good playing surface.

I recall seeing Mourinho sitting in the Braemar Road stand back in during the early part of 2015.
We were playing Middlesbrough, and I presume he’d come to look at Bamford. Bamford was being loaned out from Chelsea to everyone who’d have him.

Unless he’d come to watch one of ours!!!

I remember a Mourinho quote at the time that would inspire all his loanees, that basically said -
“If I loan a player out, then it greatly disminishes his chances of ever being a regular Chelsea 1st team player”.

Like with Dele Alli now, as a player, you soon find out where you stand with Mourinho!

He came because his mate was managing Middlesbro' at the time.

We do have experience of playing top level teams in major competitions in the club via the links with Mitylland. Looking forward to this.

I'm pretty sure the players have seen the draw and are talking about it themselves.

I've just seen this game will be using VAR - anyone know if true? That's a first for us! Lets hope it's on our side.

Bearing in mind it's now less than 2 weeks away to our visit to Spurs, don't think so!

But we've still got those two important league matches first. Wonder what TF and MB - the professionals - think about it.
You can be excited for our first ever semi final, and not lose sight of our upcoming important league fixtures, all at the same time.

The way the fixtures have lined up it couldn't have been any better. Plenty of time to rest players and still put out a top side.

No longer my beloved NAM
I expect, being professional, that they think we have three league matches to play first.
He didn’t say we only had 2. He said 2 important ones. I think you should apologise mr pedantic!

Moanrinho slagging off his own players in public can only work in our favour. Quickest way to lose the dressing room.
Lets see how the Spurs players react to the nasty little man.
One point from their last three games might mean its happening already.

Not sure anyone's asked this question, but if we beat Spurs, would we be the first team outside the top flight to get to a major cup final, having only played top flight sides once top flight sides get drawn to play in any round? If so, this would become another classic quiz question with the answer being Brentford.

Bradford were in the final against Swansea in 2012 iirc

Ok we can get to the league cup final if we win... But we must lose the tag of underdogs. If we beelieve in our team we have to start beelieving that we can complete with the likes of Tottenham.

I want promotion, I want the league cup, i want at least a double... I dont want us to be whipping boys and i honestly beelieve that we can complete as equals.

Yes they have good players... I know that becuase a few of them would actually get into our side... But we have good players too... We also have a hungry squad who wont let themselves down.

The game will be decided by Skill, Desire, Passion and sheer determination. So we have a fair chance

Spurs seem to score early quite often so we need to be on it from the start, they did that today then Wolves had control and Spurs
seemed to fade, also Raya will have to be careful, I am sure Spurs will know he goes more walkabout than a Aboringe.
