Is this whole thing not simply a case that Warbs contract expires In June this year and he hasn't comitted verbally or otherwise to renewing it? MB runs with this until January and then decides he needs a back up plan and starts looking for likeminded replacements. Having read the Journo's report on Paco Jamez, his footballing philosophy appears to be based on possesion football and attack, sounds familiar and doesn't sound like big change in direction other possibly managerial contract lengths? Unfortunately one of the interviews gets into the public domain and the maelstrom of sh1t ensues.

No trust has necesarrily been broken between MB & MW maybe its just a case of MW wanting to weigh up his options and MB needing to plan for the future on firm foundations?
No. He is on a 12 month rolling contract. It expires 12 months after it is agreed to end it.

Time for BIAS to issue a statement on their view of the bun fight.
Be careful what you wish for:

BIAS ‏@BIAS_bfc Feb 11
#BrentfordFC Retweet if you want Mark Warburton to stay as @BrentfordFC manager

Oh dear....

Back from London, chillin. Thanks to those in the (real) personal know that gave our posse a bit more of an inside track today. That fact is, there is no wrong or right between Mark and Matt (and I would not take sides) but there is a difference of opinion about going forward regarding recruitment of the right staff and structure of the club. Whoever is right or wrong is irrelevant, it's Matt's huge financial commitment and as someone with a very clear and genuine vision as to the success of BFC in the future we have to respect that opinion.

Why on earth have they put that up? Surely they may know it's not as simple as that.

I just can't get my head round why we have to wait for monday or after to have this all cleared up.

A mon to fri working week is a thing of the past for most people out there so ffs do a little overtime BFC and let us have some peace of mind
I don't understand this either. The media team aren't exempt from website updates, etc on a Sunday so why wait until Monday?

I presume the statement isn't going to be written up after Call the Midwife has finished on TV on Sunday evening and therefore one must assume that the content and wording has been through all its checking mechanisms by now, so why the wait?

The days when the media world shut down at going home time on Friday went out when John O'Mara was still banging in the goals.

I was sad to be losing MW up until now but happy safe in the knowlege that the future under MB will be positive regardless..... I'm starting to get very concerned that this sh*t is going to make him wonder if it's all worth it! **** me that would not be a fun few years of unravelling.

Let's just hope MB can see the b***ocks for what it is, clarify his intent in a statement on Monday and get back to giving us all the future we have been dreaming of for years..... Whoever he decides is going to deliver it!

note that it's three days old, but yep, quite naive in hindsight. as if someone will show Matthew "have you seen, they have 200 retweets - we might want to reconsider this"

There are probably legal implications involved. Most lawyers I know don't work weekends.

Thank you for sharing your succinct observations. They are spot on. It is the best interest of everyone to ensure the uncertainty is not allowed to fester. For me even Monday is too far away.

I know lots - and few of them start proper work before 11:00am!!!

I bet the statement's out before that time on Monday, so I'd put money on it being ready now.

I hope and believe Matthew is a sensible and rational enough person to understand there was going to be some negative reaction from supporters as a result of how the news broke. There is no excuse for personal abuse and I hope these have been limited.

I'm sure that this being the first major bump in the road under his tenure will not drive him away. He's no doubt hurting but I'm sure he knows the majority of Bees fans are right behind him.

.
I believe Eric Cantona is the final checking mechanism for all Club Statements and he's not available till Monday!

What difference does that make? There was enough information out there by Wednesday to know that was wrong
Not everyone gets the right information or has access to it.

A few days ago, many hoped it could be sorted out privately and in a way it would all be nice and sweet again. Not everyone is in a loop where info is made available which hasn't been discussed online. I have no idea who tweets for BIAS and who posted it. Posting it now makes it looks as though it was posted today, when it wasn't. It does matter.

You/I over hear many people talking, especially today, who have no idea of what is going on, many think the owner is wrong and Warburton is the one to back. What hasn't helped is poor information from the Football Club. If they released a clear and concise statement, without any bull sh*t - as you and I know what has gone on - then it would help enormously.

So many are still in the dark.

Either way, a complete miss read of the entire situation and if I were BIAS I would rein in that individual...
Innocent people who don't get to hear, or be told, the ins and outs.

Why are people being so over dramatic? If we win tomorrow then if results go for us we could be just back to 3 points off automatic promotion! The players showed against Watford what they are made off, shame some of the fans aren't the same!
After today's performance, I think you have your answer.

Perhaps, in the fullness of time, someone will list all the extreme words used on this thread and its predecessor. It should be mildly amusing.

I'm not picking on you specifically, Robi Bee... honest.
You could be right and point taken, GPG has reached new levels of drama this week. Although there was nothing mildly amusing about today's performance and the situation to me IS surreal.

My worry about MB deciding to jack it in isn't because of idiots on social media or a challenging management problem it's the the very public nature of it all that comes with success. He is a man that shuns the limelight, will he decide that if this is the territory we will be residing in he doesn't want to be part of it

I certainly hope and pray that is not the case

Here we go. "Silly party candidates bidding for a majority in football’s boardrooms" featuring Vincent Tan and......Matthew Benham :banghead:

http://www.theguardian.com/football...owners-silly-party-candidates-football-league
'They had dropped down another level in 1954 and 59 of the next 60 years were spent in the bottom two divisions.
Then something strange happened. Mark Warburton was appointed as manager in December 2013 when Uwe Rösler left for Wigan. Brentford were swiftly promoted and their upward momentum has continued in the Championship this season.'

MB becoming our owner has nothing whatever to do with our rise; it was solely a consequence of MW becoming manager!!!

I totally understand you fears, just wish the rest of our fanbase did. But at the same time surely Mb could not have thought he could drag Brentford from div 1 to the Prem and keep out of the limelight? He is a man with a vision and whether he wants the plaudits for it or not, he can't think for a second if successful people won't come digging around to find out who's behind it.

At the same time it seems a lot of people need to start realising without MB, MW would never have been here. I will be gutted at MW leaving, but there is no choice and being gutted is nothing to what would happen if MB left.

My dads 84 and confined to one room in his house, how the hell I explain all this to him tomorrow, gawd knows. For a man who just worked all his life and watched the bees for 60yrs, he won't understand how a club implodes.

My 16yr old sort of understands, but is gutted.

This is what I have been trying to tell people including Savage today, and reading the match report thread MB is right we need more players. I would welcome MW staying as long as he listens to MB and not bloody McPharland

I've been in this situation and, for all my pride in my adult professionalism, my effort and concentration and determination diminished. How could it not?
Glad you're presumably not a doctor, nurse, pilot, driver, electrician, policeman, member of the armed forces...................................
