Yes- IIRC a lot thought the deal had fallen through when he travelled with them.

IIRC unlike our famous snake he went away on Hull’s preseason tour and only left to sign for us. No huffing about it or going home to wait things out.

Travel Hull City (A) Sun 25th Oct, 14:00

When I went in 2020 for the 5-1 they had a load of parking on fields by the ground. It was inexpensive enough that I can’t remember how much (cf my last trip to Huddersfield where I’m still going HOW MUCH at the £17 they charged).

    Pre-Match Liverpool (H) 17/10/26

LASK aren’t very good are they? Hopefully it’ll be like last season when Liverpool walloped Eintracht Frankfurt 5-1 and had a bit of a surprise coming to Gtech straight after. And we know how much better than Eintracht we are now!!!

    The Independent Football Regulator

The Bill fell late in the process when the 24 GE was called and was then reintroduced. It had bipartisan support. Though I was disappointed at the shadow Culture Secretary, who’d been responsible for the Bill as Culture Secretary and not whipped opposition to it when reintroduced, turned round...

    The Independent Football Regulator

It came from a fan led review in 2021. Its report sets out the rationale nicely and how it was particularly prompted by what happened to Bury and the Euro Super League proposals. Fan-Led Review of Football Governance: securing the game’s future

    The Independent Football Regulator

All of this is publicly available info and the legislation had two runs through parliament (it was in its final stages in early 2024 and fell when the GE was called, then reintroduced by the new government in pretty much identical terms) after being drafted following a big consultation. The...

    The Independent Football Regulator

I’m sure we could have an interesting discussion about the nature of quangos and whether they are political organisations but I’m not so sure it’s the sort of discussion the GPG is for. If you read back a bit further into the history of the Football Governance Act you’ll see it’s a bit...

Manchester City Found Guilty Of FFP Breaches

There’s only so much you can polish a turd and ultimately it remains a turd. That said, let’s see what sanction is imposed. Sometimes the big win is not in guilt/innocence but consequence. Most often in regulatory cases the biggest win is to hold your hands up immediately and limit what is...

Poll - Sanctions for Manchester City

None of the above. My guess is a large multiyear PL points deduction. View: https://x.com/botzarelli/status/2104572388524314903?s=46&t=9UmVFiBy0DOR8SIM55BOUA

Drinking alcohol in the stands at Gtech

The world has changed a bit. Back in the 80s most pubs were not very child friendly or even particularly welcoming to women or those from ethnic minorities. Some even had separate bara and rooms for those women who did want to go. Now it is pretty much generally considered respectable for women...

Drinking alcohol in the stands at Gtech

At Leeds the fan behind me said if I stood up they’d report me to BFC and ensure I never got another ticket. Not all Bees are the same! I did turn around when we scored to check and they’d got to their feet so I felt safe doing so!

Drinking alcohol in the stands at Gtech

If it comes I’d expect to focus on where and when it’s allowed and on the sanctions for misbehaviour. Having a pissed up punch up in the concourse would already get a long stadium ban. Unless the consensus is nowhere at any time. Even on this thread that doesn’t seem to be the consensus. We do...
