It just shows you how we‘ve improved in the LB position just from getting injured players back and Thomas working his magic by reinventing KLP as a LB. Not so long ago I and many others were hoping we’d sign Reguilon either on loan or even permanently. Now we have KLP, Rico and Hickey (in no particular order) that between them give us great options at left back both attacking, defending and as cover. I wish him well, he helped us when we needed him (except Burnley)
150k a week at Tottenham was mentioned as his wage.
That had a fair bit of making the decision.

Sergio Reguilón (Inter Miami)

KLP would probably be considering his future now if we had signed this fella.

Sergio Reguilón (Inter Miami)

Klp should be returning to the wing once Henry is bedded in? He can return if Henry gets injured. See no need to pay mad wages for Reg.

Sergio Reguilón (Inter Miami)

Never rated him, we were just desperate at the time. We can do much better
Interesting, annoyed me at Burnley away but thought overall he was good for us. If we had known at the start of last season that Rico would have been out most of the season then many I suspect including me would have had him back. No one could have predicted the season KLP would have had but Sergio did a very good job for us when we needed him the most.

He did well for us................ Lets not be daft here..................

You dont play for Madrid, Spurs and Utd if you arent a good player.
Really? Spurs and Manchester United? Not good enough for us.

Heard from members of our group that "apparently" he wasn't the most well liked individual in the changing rooms.

So wages aside, maybe he doesn't pass the no dickhead rules.

Well he was with Bryan at the tennis this week and there was no apparently about that!

And what ITK group is that, please?

I thought it was ascertained that he was on £50k per week at Spuds (no way Levy was paying him £150k)…which was upper limit of our wage structure at the time!

He’d be a great squad player if we were in Europe and was able to slightly dampen his wage expectations.

Not sure about the dickhead piece…he seemed to get on well with the lads, however the John Terry routine and first up to grab a medal in the Europa Final was an interesting insight!

I was told 150 last year and i have not heard anything different.
50k a week would be okay for a free transfer.

still no contract with anyone? We need more full backs................. :fishing:

I'm out

Sergio Reguilón (Inter Miami)

I'd say 100+ La Liga and PL games, plus 6 full Spain caps, brings him pretty close, even if I'm totally happy with Rico and Aaron (fitness permitting).
4 clubs in 4 years would suggest otherwise, he had some good games for us towards the end but was all over the place for the most part

Yeah, you're right. Real Madrid, Sevilla, Spurs, Atletico Madrid, Man Utd and (ahem) Brentford - what a lot of duds that lot are.

Reminds me of an old girlfriend I had - an absolute stunner when she was with me, but it was only after she left that I realised she wasn't all that much. ;)

None of them wanted him and now hes off to retire in the States

Sergio Reguilón (Inter Miami)

Yep..left footed left backs are such a premium the fact no one in a top league seemed to want him says a lot

Sergio Reguilón (Inter Miami)

Strange one. He played well for us on loan when we really needed cover and seemed popular with our fans. He does have quite an active social media profile and not sure that helps his game or concentration. He can now hang out with the Beckhams.

Or learn to defend.

That’s the key. He looked amazing going forward but basic defending was questionable, plus his financial demands would’ve been unrealistic for us. Now we have multiple options, I think we can skip thoughts of him.

Couldn’t defend for toffee but great going forward. Should have been a winger?

Sergio Reguilón (Inter Miami)

Oh well guess he won't have to worry about defending after all

Sergio Reguilón (Inter Miami)

Scored their 3rd yesterday, with some bloke called Messi adding a 4th moments later

Sergio Reguilón (Inter Miami)

Really enjoyed his time here: would love to have kept him. I was always surprised how difficult it was for him elsewhere. Nice if he’s now getting game time.

Sergio Reguilón (Inter Miami)

Didn’t realise he’d headed over to Miami.

Is he still masquerading as Michael Owen’s son?
