He was a good professional and did a job for us. No reason not to wish him well and it seems both parties got what they wanted out of the deal. Personally I didn't see what others have seen in his performances: I didn't think he offered much on the pitch and was a significant downgrade on Norgaard; no real defensive output and a pretty safe passer. And his relationship to the club seemed fairly mercenary, which is perhaps to be expected but does not a fan favourite make. But he is clearly a hard worker and good influence on other players.

Hopefully we will look back and see him as a successful transitional step toward the Sangaré era.

Very much like Eriksen to me, always felt like a loan player passing through. That aside, all the best in SW6.
It's an interesting comparison to make, and a valid one too.

From a certain section of the fanbase there was greater disappointment when Eriksen chose Man Utd over us, but I think that was also partially due to the immense impact he made. Some of the games he won, he played a pivotal part. Whereas I can't say the same of Jordan, though granted he's less likely to get involved in the creating side of the game.

Perhaps Jordan made a greater impact off it, but I do think I'll look back at Eriksen's time more warmly than Jordan's. Despite both being similarly short

Some proper classless posts on here.

Suppose I shouldn’t expect better from a certain few on here.

Right time to move on, he did a job, probably more then any of you will realise in terms of leadership within the squad.

All the best Jordan, probably the only Brentford player I wiill see captain England.

Good for us. Elevated the levels of his peers, to the extent that he would be a bench warmer now. Yarmoliuk is getting better and better.

For Chelsea, Alonso needs an ally or two in that club to fix a difficult dressing room.

No bad feelings..it's all about where we headed.

From the article this is what Henderson said if anyone wants to save themselves a click

Given the size of the club, the manager, who I have great admiration for, and the quality of the players, this was a huge opportunity I couldn’t turn down,

I was also so impressed with how much the ownership want Chelsea to be successful and move in the right direction.

For me, it's about giving everything every single day, both on and off the field, to help the players around me and the team as much as possible. I'm very excited to get going.

The size of club more befitting for a man of his standing, not small time Brentford who were a convenient stop over to help his world cup ambitions. Hope he plays against us so that Yarmo and Sangare can absolutely terrorise him.

I liked his contribution to the team and game management. No surprise he’s moving on but never thought it would be Chelsea .

Going to get a lot of bench time

Thanks. See ya. Rinse the Blues dry.

Not sure how I view it really. Thought it a good at the time, still do regarding experience for our younger players, some what disappointed though, seems mercenary to me.
Of course it is/was. He wanted to go to the World Cup and we were useful. We in turn benefited from his experience. Showed his true loyalties away to Scouse. Couldn't give a toss about it.

Given the lack of maturity demonstrated by some chelsea players at the world cup his 'senior figure' role will probably be even more important to them than it was to us.

I’m sorry to those who still like him but he’s full of sh*t and I’m glad to see the back of him.

The thing that gets me is according to Keith Andrews everyone was told before the game at Anfield to not get drawn into the soap opera of their thing so it seems he went against his gaffer’s explicit instructions too

Not surprised he is gone

I was at Anfield and was screaming at him to just get off the pitch when he was subbed, but other people around me were much much more profane

Dread to think what his reception would have been like if he had stayed

Will probably mentor Chelsea’s young squad and honestly I think that’s a good move for them.

Another bit of Brentford trivia for the future history books -

Who was the Brentford player, who played for and captained England as a Bee, and also appeared on the bench in a World Cup knock-out stage match, but never played in the actual match, but was yellow-carded in the match, and also injured in the same match?!

He took the Saudi money. He's taken the Chelsea money. well done Hendo on optimising his shelf-life.

Reads like a script for part of the Ivan Toney movie…

In all reality, I doubt Chelsea would risk weakening their team by starting him against the mighty Bees.

Article in West London Sport pretty much sums up my feelings on Jordan. A short marriage of convenience that suited both parties but will not last long in either parties memories.

I'm glad he has gone never really rated him ,when he was not in the team played better football and not hoofball . He hardly ever won a ball and just passed sideways or back unless he just whacked it aimlessly forward .

It worked for a while, then it didn’t. We certainly won’t miss him.

You and I must have watched him in different games, because that’s definitely not my view of his contribution.
