Lets just play Devils advocate here and they offer 100m and we accept it, would he even want to go there? Not even sure what Forest are going for this season? I actually had them down as potential relegation candidates before a ball was kicked if im honest.

Historically I’d agree, but for where we are now, I think the game has changed significantly.

The question is no longer “what’s a great price to sell for?”, it’s “is it worth the risk to sell right now at any price?” Our finances are in great shape—thanks in large part to summer 25’s sales, with a nice little sell-on thrown in—and everyone’s on long term contracts other than Kevin (and even he has two years to go), so unless any of the players actively push for a move there’s no upside, only downside in selling. A fantastically strong position to be in.

Exactly, how much would it cost for us to replace him this late in the window, £50m/60? Whatever it was, we’d be paying (whoever the club is) over the odds, which just isn’t our thing.
