I'm sure the player jumping in the hole was a while back.

Jeez! It shouldn’t be beyond someone’s capabilities to make a sturdy temporary cover with a few gym mats pinned on top of it. If it happens regularly, it’s not always going to end well…
A trampoline would be funnier surely?

What I didn't realise and makes this even funnier is the goal was disallowed.

Yeah, supposedly it was related to the rules about having to starting XI to a certain expected standard
It was, but it begs the question why on earth we entered the bloody completion in the first place. I assume there must be some money just for participating, as the attendance (3pm KO on a Tuesday) was low hundreds.

Two different competitions, no?

Hartlepool/Boro was the National League Cup, whereas Bees U-21's are in the EFL Trophy

Though your principle stands, whichever.

There were 36 European 2nd leg ties tonight, Europa and Conference.

Thirty five were settled on aggregate after 90 mins, with just one, Austria Wien v Beitar Jerusalem, going to extra time. (Both legs had finished 2-1 to the away team). Still level after 120 mins, Wien won on pens.

Burnley’s shirt sponsor, Finivative, has lasted 42 days! Had a glossy promotion video and appeared on the shirts throughout pre-season. No explanation forthcoming as yet, but all stock removed, and refunds available to fans….

Newcastle’s home strip has already caused problems -

In their match yesterday v Bayern Leverkusen, they had to change kit in the first half - see photos.

Thus was because of the new rules that the back of the kit has to be a solid colour block for name and number.
Both teams had white blocks looking similar from the back, plus both with blue shoulder colours.

Also, the front of Newcastle’s kit has been said to look like a bar code.

So perhaps they had to change the kit after about 23 minutes, meant that it was a case of -

"Unexpected item in bagging area!”
