I meant just occasionally, to scupper the attacking teams plans! We’re moving on again - if you saw Villa scoring from set pieces last week. Lots of distractions and lurking in plain sight…

I think the approach today was to decide whether to go all out from the start or keep your ‘finishers’ ready for later in the game and when factoring today’s heat, the opposition and our own defensive capabilities and the players own individual performance levels he chose the latter. We did struggle in the early parts of the first half, but we were not overwhelmed and kept the game competitive throughout.

What shocked me, though, was that we did not really go for it until so late. Henderson for Hickey on 60 was a really odd one and then Damsgaard not coming on until the 83rd minute!! Far too late IMO.

Sure, it nearly worked - Dango should have buried his chance. But, to me, that just showed what might have been had we been a little braver earlier.

Don't get me wrong, KA has had a great season given the context and his inexperience. I am optimistic about the future.

But Damsgaard's much lower impact this year worries me. Perhaps, given what we know about his past problems, he has had to be nursed through the season.

But, if not, KA needs to find a way next season to get our best, most creative and dangerous ball player on the pitch more of the time, especially given our deficiencies, particularly evident in the last ten games, at keeping possession of the ball.

I have to admit that when I first heard Andrews had been given the job I was to say the very least apprehensive. After 45 minutes at Forest that apprehension became a worry
What has come since has been nothing short of brilliant, sure there have been lows but there have also been many highs and finishing in the top half after the summer we had can only be described as a super achievement by all concerned, not least Andrews himself, who has not only proved himself to be up to the task but also handles the other aspects of the role admirably
All I can say further to that is... Carry on the good work sir and let's see how far we can go

I’m not sad for the managers that take the offers from the clubs, they will be recompensed appropriately, but I am sad for football fans and supporters, in general, where there is little consistency and continuity to establish any semblance of a ‘team’ for them to support.

Fortunately, our club is in the minority when it comes to radical change and we have seen the club benefit from not doing this on a regular basis.

Now standing with 48 points to his name, he's reached position #142 in the all-time league table. One point behind Scolari. Even though his progress has slowed over recent weeks, the last few results has taken him past David Wagner, Iain Dowie, Stephen Gerrard & Ian Holloway.

In readiness for the his second season in the PL, here is an update on Keith's all-time Premier League standings.
Keith now stands at the 138th position of the all-time PL table on 53 points. Couple early season wins and he'll overtake Keane, Lopetegui, Amorim, Brown and Eriksson. Will be worth seeing if Keith & Régis Le Bris continue their neck-by-neck point scoring this season.

Most of them do! If you survive two years you're likely going to be around for a fair bit longer unless something seismic happens like a change of ownership.

When I was in business If id routinely sacked recruits within a year or two of hiring them I would have feared for my own job!

Your are quite right the nomination of a Deputy has been noticeably absent since KA first arrived. It does look as if DD was hand bound by his contract as he joined Brentford almost 12 months to the day after walking out of Sherborne.
