Maybe a bit low but less than 2 years left on his contract, 31 in December. His transfer value will start to decline rapidly after this window.

Villa are going to struggle to make top half imo.

Rogers, Tielemans and Konsa now all gone. Watkins may not be far behind.

They were very average in all 3 games against us last year and are now much weaker. They may have money to spend, but have only 2 weeks left. Emery might do a Howe and become frustrated he can't build on their recent success. If Watkins also goes, it won't do much for team morale either.

Shame!

They always do these last minute sales for financial purposes but they've still spent nearly £100m this window

They've also had time to have a good look at their new players which will have helped their decisions around players leaving.

Baleba wasn't getting in the Brighton team most of last season iirc, now they've rinsed man utd for him. Weird one, maybe his heart wasn't in it at brighton

If it is to be Saudi for Ollie, then they have an extra week for their window to shut.
He might decide to take that time. SSN this morning said reports were of him being offered £1,200,000 per week!

Does anyone else think Maresca’s replicating his Chelski fiasco? In addition to this double move, Cherki is definitely on his way abroad, and Ait Nourri supposedly wants away too. As soon as the window closes, he’ll announce a ‘bomb squad’.
The players remaining had better get him off to a good start….

My Man City mate is alarmed that they already don't have enough players and that's before they've shipped out Savinho, Marmoush, Ait Nouri and Cherki (who he rates). I think they'll struggle to find takers for Grealish (injuries) and Foden (wages and form). If Doku, Haarland and Semenyo don't deliver, they look pretty ordinary. Maresca may get them playing well, but there's no guarantee.

Hasn’t taken long to dismantle Pep’s squad! Forgot Gonzalez, Reijnders and Trafford have left, and Silva, Stones and Ake is a lot of experience gone.

Beyond the player loses, Austin McPhee moving to Chelsea I would suggest will have a big impact. Unfortunately I feel it will make Chelsea much better!

I think we all know that the supporter pressure at Spurs has got out of hand. Why has it ? Because the owners react to their calls, which then only leads to the next occasion.
The owners made a choice on the manager that was not universally liked.
They have spent the money to appease the supporters, with the cavate that they can then blame the manager and replace again.

Very possibly.

Then again, the previous regime's transfer policies were hardly successful, either (understatement!).

So long as these purchases don't bust the club financially, which they shouldn't, then the real test will be whether these new players improve the team, not whether they overpaid for them.

I’m hoping they do bust the club 😂 if you look at previous seasons prior to their 2 17th place finishes they were always in or around top 4 so is that unsuccessful? Weren’t they still top 6 of spenders too?

Baleba is a superb player that warranted the huge price tag. His performances went down the pan immediately after the United talk.

Sangare sounds very exciting but none of us really know if 40m is a steal or not. I'm just as excited as the rest of us btw.
