Banana - I know times are tough etc but I would just like to say very well done for carrying the load for so long - 25 odd years - mind boggling!

When i ran the “Aussie Bees Review” supporters club in the pre internet years of wide access - 1989-95 from memory - I simply had to charge a fee to cover postage / printing costs etc. people coughed as they loved the output

You need to start charging a fee for access mate - only ONE pound a month per member would be a massive offset on your time and costs.

Shortly I will set up a direct debit for 10 bucks (5 quid) a month - cheers for your efforts

But… for those who prefer things easy, shiny, and clickable, we’ve now added Membership Levels. Becoming a member won’t get you:

…but it will help keep the servers running every time someone posts “FFS” for the 1,000,000th time which we concede a goal

I've been running this forum for over 20 years now. As well as time spent actually running it, I have also paid for the not inconsiderable sums of running-it over that period. This includes: hosting of the servers; bandwidth charges; storage; off-site back-ups costs; email services; software licenses; software support costs. All those services are provided professionally which you will have noticed from the exceptional reliability of the GPG.

I've never asked for any assistance for costs as during that time fans were either throwing coins into buckets, donating money via monthly Standing Orders to Bees United, taking out Bees United Loan Notes and doing whatever else was required to keep the club afloat. After that, Matthew has been pumping in over £100m and it seemed churlish to ask for money when Matthew was parting with so much cash. During the entirety of this time the GPG has remained (despite some 'attractive offers') ad-free. A concious decision that I believe has provided you with a vastly better experience than otherwise. A quick look at other forums will demonstrate that.

Additionally, the GPG has provided fans with

• Lockdown Zoom Calls with Phil Giles, Thomas Frank, Jon Varney, Kevin O'Connor, Sam Saunders and Martin Allen
• Hours of footage and thousands of pictures of the new stadium during construction via the Brentford FC Drone;
• Provided you with the ability to put questions to Matthew, Thomas and others via our regular interviews and meet-ups.
• The @bfcgpg Twitter account

and we would certainly look to continue to provide similar activities.

Now that the club is financially stable (thanks to you-know-who and our recent promotion), I am asking for some entirely voluntarily donations to defray the costs.

Nothing will change with regards to anyone's access to the GPG regardless of if you decide to support the running costs of it or not.
