Driving home from work, listening to Radio 6, they played somebody I didn't know (I don't half of the Radio 6 playist!) called Daniel Avery. Checking the GPG FF league just now, I notice a namesake near the top of the table. Any link?

He was with someone and their conversation was quite loud, inviting others in the lift to join in with his ‘witticisms’, using a stronger accent than on Antiques Roadshow. I think he was genuine, with his cracks and all.

Is Leo Sayer being escorted off for a pitch invasion violation?!
His great song "Orchard Road" actually refers to Churchfield Road, Acton, just 3 miles from Brentford.
It’s about a phone conversation he had with his wife, when they were going through difficulties.
The song was called Orchard Road instead because of sounding better musically/lyrically than Churchfield Road.

Regularly seen in his heyday (70s/80s?), shopping in Bentalls. That might have been disproportionate though, as Mrs J used to work there! Never thought of him as a BEE at the time…
