I think he has more to his game than Kante - he has a long way to go to get to Kante over a consistent period but if yesterday is the benchmark he could become the best in his position in time. Special talent.

I don't remember being this excited about a player since we signed Eriksen.

Probably not the same level but is Milambo supposed to be a similar player to Sangare too or is he more of a 10? I know we only saw him briefly v Forest

He’s going to be a Premier League star; he transforms the way we play and the other players are responding, the start of another step up for us ! I hope the media team can educate some with the way to pronounce his name, though – hearing san-gaargh-rey I find incredibly irritating.

I think what makes him seem a bargain illustrates the difference between our recruitment and, as a random example, Spurs’. I assume we’ve followed him since before he signed for Lens and been in dialogue with his agent since he showed such promise in their first few games. That long-term focus, showing our intentions and ‘selling’ BFC to agent, who’s very active with Mailian players, and the player himself, works to secure his interest in joining us to the point when he’s apparently turned down ‘better’ offers.

A very different approach to recruitment than throwing money at players as a window opens and signing them in the days before it closes.

A better debut than I could have imagined. All over the pitch. Good first control, fast on the turn
Loved his volley shot off Collins header

Looking forward to seeing him come against some proper midfielders - nothing to fear

Isnt the first syllable also meant to be pronounced "son", as in gone?
Rather than "san" as in van.

And pronouncing it all 'flat' doesn't scan with his song.

Either way, it's all irrelevant.
As the song has now stuck!! 😍

You could say that, as the ‘san’ is like between the a and o English sounds, closer to o in your ‘gone'. It was really the elongated emphasis on the middle syllable that irritates me… although that only applies to the correct spelling Sangaré! Sangare would be only 2 syllables: søn-gar… anyway, enough of the pronunciation semantics and I can sense Edmundo is lurking… ;)

Better than that he seems like a really good bloke! The unity and team spirit looks like it runs deep with this lot at the moment and Sangare seems to have slotted straight in there! Kayode’s goal really showed how passionate they all seem to be in supporting each other!

Daniel Sturridge mentioned him in the post match analysis of the Newcastle Liverpool game. Basically said something along the lines of "if a player like that is available at £40mil, why were Liverpool not in the conversation when his underlying stats are clear to see".

It's one competitive performance (plus a friendly), and I'm more willing than many to work with hyperbole BUT ... he's possibly the highest ceiling of any Brentford player I've seen. It reminded me, strangely enough, of our first year in the Prem when Eriksen came in January and you could just see the levels to his game.

None of this is to take away from the talent of our other players or the ones that have gone: Mbeumo, Watkins, etc), I just can't shake that he has virtually everything.

I heard some critiques of his passing on a recent technical football podcast; but I thought some of the angles on his passes Saturday he could access were unbelievable.

I think he could be as good as Essien or Kante.

I have a feeling MB and PG have been trying to find the next one.

FTT was a effort on this IMO……..

This lad could nail it by the sound of things.

This is brilliant…more so because their player is $hithouse so this reinforces it!

They’re going to be even more pissed when they realise that a £70m bid for Thiago is clown time!
