Yes I know the guy is no authority on football and is one of the new breed of content creators but his praise of our performance today is fulsome.
We've got our Kante...I appreciate the thought. I think we can be in for a great season… but I believe we lack two/three star players that Leicester had like Vardy, Kante, Mahrez…
Really? I thought it was just a kick about with the lads?Quote was "famous, or Arsenal might say, infamous...."
And our Vardy (although admittedly with an ever so slightly different physical build). Now time for Schade to really show what he's about and become our Mahrez. We've got our Kante...
Brentford do things the right way. Owners hire good people and let them get on with their stuff. Terrific manager who is still underrated and who hasn't got the world's biggest ego running unchecked. Hardworking, selfless players who give everything for each other and care about the club & its fans, not just their paycheck and image.
Could be. KA made a joke along the lines of it was nice seeing them smartly dressed for a change…Is this the first time we have had a foreign broadcaster pitch side?
The Brentford ‘ad block’ requirement when the manager is being interviewed outside of the press room looks new as well, unless it’s just a non-UK thing I’ve never seen before.
Poch's first game was against errrm..I believe it was us. They only difference was they had Kane to get them out of jail. They were a better team back then"Make the game difficult. But don't let a team that will finish in bottom half of the table piss all over you. Even in Poch's early games you could see wgat he was trying to do. We were never dicked by a bottom half team. Yesterday was as bad as I can remember because there was nothing to grasp at." - some wally on spurs forum
Pretty audacious to claim we are a bottom half team given the last couple of seasons and the start to this one![]()
I'd have said the same if we lost to them though"Make the game difficult. But don't let a team that will finish in bottom half of the table piss all over you. Poch took over at Spurs in 2014 so I don't think that's right.Poch's first game was against errrm..I believe it was us. They only difference was they had Kane to get them out of jail. They were a better team back then
Except that Kane had been sold by then, surely?Poch took over at Spurs in 2014 so I don't think that's right.
We played them the first game of 2023/24 when Ange had just taken over so that might be who you're thinking of.
Except that Kane had been sold by then, surely?
Getting my games and names mixed up. The one consistent thing is..Spurs are sh*tExcept that Kane had been sold by then, surely?
Still unable to get them out of jail against us, though.Barely ... he was sold the day before.
A slightly different from the norm sort of short watchalong.
We’ve probably all had similar conversations with our partners in the bad old days.

They had a guy who’s captained Liverpool & Scotland playing, surely an option?![]()
Premier League opening-weekend round-up: Newly promoted H...
Elsewhere, Arsenal began their title defence in style by swatting Hull’s fellow new boys Coventry aside, while Brentford beat Tottenham 3-0observer.co.uk
Along way down this article -Not much about us - but what there is , is good
"For all defeat will be framed as disaster, this is just where Spurs are, even with Andy Robertson. Brentford finished eight places and 12 points ahead of them last season.
They are a serious football club, better run and more stable and with better players in most positions. They wouldn’t spend almost £300m and then start their season with a front three of Mikey Moore, Tel and Richarlison, while also naming their youngest captain in a competitive match ever in Archie Gray because the first four choices are all injured."
Yes, these rational posts are hard to find on that forum as they have one of the most toxic, delusional online fanbases I've ever seen... But it does make for funny reading watching the melt down from about page 39 on there.Scanning The Fighting Cock (Spurs fans’ forum), I spotted this:

Amazing football. Brentford look outstanding
Brentford play some outstanding football
I honestly thought they were f*cked when they appointed the set piece coachas he was not long before. I think they could almost drop anyone in there it seems that well oiled behind the scenes.
Brentford are excellent. Bright, inventive attacking. Good recruiting but also Andrews is a surprisingly good coach.
Brentford are very good and will easily make Europe this season.
Brentford are a top team and play some quality stuff
Don’t mind admitting when Brentford appointed Keith Andrew’s I thought they’d be in trouble.
He’s done a brilliant job
Brentford aren't concerned about reputations, they just play football how it should be played...and to think some on here are piss flapping about us getting beat today!!![]()
It is hard to feel sorry for Spurs. Brentford look a good strong team again mind and most people (me too) had them finished off when Keith Andrew’s took over last year and he’s doing a great job.
Brentford getting Anthony from Burnley seems a bargain at £15m (£2m addons) after getting 9 goals and 4 assists last season
Gonna be one of our toughest games of the season Brentford in 2 weeks like f***ing hell they're v good
Not just that but they’ve paid the full recommended retail price on TK Maxx goodsSpurs have just chucked huge money around randomly, why do these big clubs keep doing this and expecting different results?
Another excuse....Spurs have real problems.
This is exactly it.Spurs have just chucked huge money around randomly, why do these big clubs keep doing this and expecting different results?
Well, Spuds certainly got a different result yesterday. This is exactly it.
#Teamslike Brighton, Brentford, Bournemouth do well because they have a system and just top it up each season.
The likes of United, Spurs, Newcastle change managers like their pants, chamge systems every season, change players every season and expect different results every season
Amid so much change, some things remain the same. And there is still nothing quite like a trip to Brentford in the Premier League to bring the lofty expectations of the self-appointed elite crashing back to earth.
He also remarked on what a well run, smart club we are. I need a lie down after hearing that!Nothing would be greater than if Brentford finished top four...that would be fantastic, that would make the season for me
The best ‘other’ fans in the Premier League, those Mackems. Hey Jude have played both their Wearside and London based branches. To a man they are great value, balanced in opinion and most importantly join in with the beers
De Zerbi being one of many egotistical f***wit managers kicking about these days won't be happy at half time.
He'll just go on and on and on then punch a door or kick the physio then settle down for a nice Penne Aribbiatta.

Not sure how to clip a section.
Move to about 6:05…and enjoy.
Not sure anyone at time thought they were star playersI appreciate the thought. I think we can be in for a great season… but I believe we lack two/three star players that Leicester had like Vardy, Kante, Mahrez…
It’s the American way even for American football and baseball the commentators wear suits and tiesI sit close to where the outdoor TV podium is placed and couldn't understand why the pundits were all ludicrously overdressed and an assistant was obsessively adjusting the woman presenters make up every time they were about to go live. It all felt so over manicured. Then I realised it was for an American broadcast and it all made sense.
The last time I was that close to Robbie Earle he stopped for a chat with me when I was the only person wandering around outside Vale Park about 2 hours before kick off on a bitterly cold day in January 1987. We lost 4-1 and Frank Mclintock got the sack.
Cheers, Kev!I would LOVE IT for us to win the title, if only for the clip of them laughing at the idea to become massive. Bookmarked.
It’s a weird look, for us non-US folk, that they’re all dressed like it’s a 1999 job interview. It’s the American way even for American football and baseball the commentators wear suits and ties
