It's not your money mate. Trust the guys that know what they're doing.A lot of money but fingers crossed a good signing
Maybe, and I have no great knowledge etc, but It does not seem good to me. Another player from a relegated team, a team that conceded nearly 2 goals a game, and reportedly a player that wanted out because he didn't like the terms in the contract that he had signed. Just my view.A lot of money but fingers crossed a good signing
I’d have thought so. If this is correct I’m astounded by the amount of money the club are paying for a full backMother of mercy, is this the end of Rico?
Post this in the "signs we are a big club" thread.I’d have thought so. If this is correct I’m astounded by the amount of money the club are paying for a full back![]()
so says Alan ShearerPace and power everywhere
Good players in sh*t teams look sh*t to the human eye. SmartOdds will have data that shows he has the underlying quality we needMaybe, and I have no great knowledge etc, but It does not seem good to me. Sadly yes I would think poor buggers career ended with us after his injury at Newcastle.Mother of mercy, is this the end of Rico?
You've said it in your first sentence. "I have no great knowledge".......Maybe, and I have no great knowledge etc, but It does not seem good to me. Another player from a relegated team, a team that conceded nearly 2 goals a game, and reportedly a player that wanted out because he didn't like the terms in the contract that he had signed. Just my view.
I know a few that are laughing at them fleecing usI’ve seen him defend many times and yes he was poor against us, but during their run in last season where they almost survived he was very much part of a settled back 4 that Nunu eventually settled on. He was good in most part, and I living very much in WHU territory most fans are upset if he were to leave.
Jaydon Anthony has looked OK so far.....Maybe, and I have no great knowledge etc, but It does not seem good to me. Another player from a relegated team, a team that conceded nearly 2 goals a game, and reportedly a player that wanted out because he didn't like the terms in the contract that he had signed. Surely you know by now that we don’t spend big money on losers with bad attitudes.Maybe, and I have no great knowledge etc, but It does not seem good to me. I guarantee he doesn't.Just spoke to a West Ham fan at work who is knowledgeable on all things football related. He came and found me to give me the news on the transfer. Who knows if he knows more than us?
Football fans the world over eh? Didn't Wolve's fans say the same about Nathan?I know a few that are laughing at them fleecing us
I dont know. Did he say anything other than "news on thr transfer"?Just spoke to a West Ham fan at work who is knowledgeable on all things football related. He came and found me to give me the news on the transfer. Who knows if he knows more than us?
Pretty sure plenty had an opinion on Ivan Toney too. Think I'll trust our management team until they break that trust, something I'm not expecting to happen this century!Football fans the world over eh? Didn't Wolve's fans say the same about Nathan?
They did indeed !Football fans the world over eh? Didn't Wolve's fans say the same about Nathan?
I think we’re looking at Diouf betting we can fix his defending (we have with everyone else we’ve signed) and that he’s got elite potential attacking qualities. Given Andrews wants chaos and his full backs to attack, Diouf could be brilliant for us.Diouf is class going forward, gives 100% but can lack defensively. Whips in a great cross.
He doesnt cut inside like Kayode does, acts more like a standard wing back than inverted. Can beat his man and get a ball in.
Im excited by this, as i enjoyed him at WH and was one of the better performers last season, and at 21 has LOTS of potential.
We've had Rico for 10 years and sadly the wheel turns, as we've seen with Ethan.I'm curious what the thinking is here...maybe an assumption that Rico will leave soon? Or maybe we see Diouf as versatile for different positions, bit like KLP. 100% sure that this has been well thought through and clearly MB wouldn't sanction £40m without a strategy, I just can't quite see what it is!
Could be he wants KLP to play further forwards and have Rico and Diouf competing for LB, it gives us a lot of options either way. I suspect Rico won't sign a new contract with us either way this summer.Mother of mercy, is this the end of Rico?
Possible bid for Rico or Aaron?banana suggests circumstances have changed….
It certainly isn’t the price because that always seemed to be around £40m
that's cos us mere mortals aren't wisionariesI'm curious what the thinking is here...maybe an assumption that Rico will leave soon? You've said it. As painful as it is, Rico's time with us is drawing to a close and his replacement is on the verge of joining us. Succession planning is what you're seeing.I'm curious what the thinking is here...maybe an assumption that Rico will leave soon? See post 532It makes you wonder if there is something going on that we don't know about, £40m for a "left back" seems a strange amount of money for us to spend. Do we think that we can do a "reverse KLP" and turn him into a potential winger or something......he certainly has a good cross on him!
In Brentford we trust!
We seem pretty well stocked in that position at the moment:It makes you wonder if there is something going on that we don't know about, £40m for a "left back" seems a strange amount of money for us to spend. Or Forest made a bid for DioufPossible bid for Rico or Aaron?

But, given KLP’s form and that we’ll need to improve Diouf’s defending - not expecting him to come straight into the team like Sangare has, even though we’ll have spent loads on him. One to be patient with.
Big Phil playing FM with a cheat codeBlimey don't we need to sell someone!
I think it’s two or three players in each position. LW = KS / KLP or Diouf (RW= DO / JA)We seem pretty well stocked in that position at the moment:
KLP, Rico, Meghoma, Hickey (if needs be)
But if Rico is off, and they want to move KLP a bit further forward........
Which might mean Schade is off.........![]()
