He set all sorts of scoring records as a junior in Hull…
Just to muddy everyone’s waters, I’ll point out that when the subs happened last night, Hickey stepped into midfield. Again…
Given we are probably one non-attacking midfielder light certainly until Milambo returns I imagine Keith sees Aaron as someone he can rely on to move into defensive midfield (No 6) role even from the bench.

Milambo is an attacking midfielder.

Compilation of his crossing. Can definitely see why we’re interested. If you look in the box at which player has the most space before he crosses, almost all go to that player, exactly where you’d want them.

He may not start ahead of KLP (time will tell), but if ever we’re a goal down or drawing late on, having someone that can cross like this may win us quite a few points.

Reminds me of a left footed David Beckham the way he whips a cross around the last defender with great accuracy. Beckham perfected that cross because he didn't have the pace to go past the defender, Diouf has the pace to beat a defender though.

This is funny my friend who is a hammers fan said he is amazing tracking forwards but crossing and decision making is poor 😆

He's probably great at crossing but the people who he has been crossing to aren't able to anticipate it.

He's an assist machine, very well suited to KA's playing style. I doubt we'll spend all that dough on a back up to KLP, who was in turn a back up to Rico. He'll be starting games sooner rathwr than later and my guess is KLP for now becomes part of the squad that finishes games, either on left or right side. Either way this is another piece in the jigsaw that is our most exciting squad ever.

There's a fantasy scenario where we sign Diouf and Henry stays and this is just an early depth signing for European competition next season. I just don't want to get my hopes up and believe that just to see a news piece in a few days of Rico Henry signing for Coventry or Ipswich.
You’ve sort of answered your own question there.
Great servant though he has undoubtedly been, his level now is a Cov or Ipswich.
We have moved to a new level. As long as we can bring in better and keep the culture and focus in balance then this kind of signing is another mark of careful considered progression.

Really happy with this kayode and diouf as fullbacks happy days.
Been saying for a while still interested in him but kept being told it wasn’t happening.
😂😂😂
Yes, you keep inferring that. There are people who try to get as much accurate information to share where possible, and I know that a lot of effort goes into that, even just keeping this forum running. However, things change. You can either accept that or people will stand down and hand it over to you to do that running around.

That's because it wasn't happening.
Genuinely interested, has there be any deals before that were not happening and then been resurrected/completed?

According to some Ivan Toney had rejected us but ended up signing. That could have just been people's emotions and the thought of rejection getting to them though 😅

Cajuste was on and then off, twice.

Where would he rank in the team with regards to pace?

The most heartwarming thing about this is that apparently that small minded owner at Forest was also in for him. Excuse me while I collapse in paroxysms of laughter!

Please add that to the file for the next time someone claims no player ever ever picks Brentford when Forest or Leeds are in the conversation.

Is there a single player in the world that Forest aren't in for?

It seems a lot of west ham fans think they are winning here and happy to see rid of him . Sure we know our stuff and will get a tune out of him

El Hadji Malick Diouf (LB, West Ham, 21)

I am excited, always am by anyone new….

But with KLP performing so well I’d hope he continues at LB, and after a great game v Spurs Kev continues LW too for now.

People have mentioned Rico, and I’m sure part of this has been influenced by discussions over his and perhaps Kev future too if we see KLP moving higher up pitch.

According to the upcoming FIFA game (normally highly debatable but pace is fairly objective they probably do base it on some hard data)

Schade 92
Ouattara 85
Kayode 81
Rico 80 (down from 86 🙁)
Diouf 79
Anthony 78
KLP 77
Thiago 74

That's because it wasn't happening. OK smartarse?
Smart arse?
Just posted what Peter O’rourke said on x on Sunday
was told on here don’t listen to him he talks
cr *p ect ect
But seem peter was correct .😂
But glad he is signing and I’m not a smartass
For believing Peter.

El Hadji Malick Diouf (LB, West Ham, 21)

If our illustrious money men think this is a lot of smackeroos we'll spent, then that is plenty good enough for me
I am salivating at the prospect of watching this fella and MK play together.
I hope this will allow Keane to play further up the left flank, as is his preference.

Appreciate the work that goes on by people running this great forum.
But I posted a post from Pete O’rourke on Sunday/Monday not sure, stating we are going back in for another go.
And the lad was slated on her saying not to listen to him He talks cr*p ect ect .
But seems he might have been correct.
But most important thing is we are getting in a Top quality to left back and building a fantastic squad.
Up the Bees

Seems a fair assessment of Diouf from a West Ham podcast, but the most interesting aspect was about their management having a history of briefing against outgoing players to placate their fans. Seems to gell with Nana's comment about this transfer being played out in public. Note only first part seems to be about Diouf so lost interest and turned off when he starts talking about spending the windfall money.

That guy is usually very level headed when I've watched his match reviews and he also has excellent knowledge about Brentford on and off the pitch.

Stopped clocks and all that, but well done on this occasion.

No way that KLP drops out of the starting XI on form so far.

We’re not Real Madrid and buying £40m benchwarmers!
He might not displace KLP overnight but there’s no way the plan would be to spend £40m on a player and not see them become a starter at some point before too long (barring our usual injury curse etc).
