Leeds (A) Sun 30th August

With little real knowledge, Leeds seem to be set up not to concede goals and then see what happens from there. So, three CB's and two holding midfielders in front with WB's either side is going to be a very different nut to crack than games to far.

I expect Keith and Damian have got some tactics to open up the barriers, so it's going to be interesting...

I doubt it, expect be the same side as started last week, with Carvalho replacing Ethan on the bench.
With Leeds 3+2 tall central defence, I doubt we'll see too many crosses into their box.

We have been given, and taken, the freedom of the pitch in the last 3 games.

This is the toughest test so far but I still expect to win

No mention of Yarmo in KA's press conference. (As reported on BBC Football page, anyway).

Leeds at Bellend Road is never easy and they are going to have their tails up after beating Forest twice in 4 days.
They have the 2 lumps in central defence and has been mentioned previously are set up not to concede and take it from there that said we have found goals quite easy to come by of late and if the trend continues then the points are ours.
I would expect the same starting 11 as last week, but trust in KA whatever he decides.
Would love it if we gave them a drubbing on their own patch but would be satisfied with a point

If we are to obtain a Champions League spot then we must beat the likes of Leeds!

With Leeds staying up, 5hey have gone large again. Their confidence will be high. Expect us to come to the fore in the last half hour.

An early goal would be great.
They’d have to be less passive, and we could pick them off.

Does anybody know where I can view KA's press conference today, please?

I think we will really struggle to break down back line with the two holding midfielders that play in front. Also a tricky away ground to go to. Need to be on it first 20 and give nothing away. We really are a very good team this year though so we could do the business, fingers crossed

This is The Athletic’s match prediction:

Leeds United vs Brentford

Andy says: Leeds may have won their first two competitive games of the season, but they’re now up against Keith Andrews, who appears to be in charge of the best club team in the world currently (are we getting carried away?). The 3-0 victory over Tottenham could not have been much more comprehensive — looking at you, Igor Thiago — and midfielder Mamadou Sangare’s debut seems to be another illustration of Brentford being the smartest guys in the room. I, on the other hand, am not, and despite Brentford’s brilliance last Saturday, you cannot discount Leeds at Elland Road with a bit of confidence and momentum: they won nine of their 19 home league games last season.

AWAY WIN

Score: 0-1

This is almost a "must win" game. I have never been a believer in "must win" games before the risk of relegation in late April

However a win here would really set-out our season. A win in a stadium that is a very tricky to win in would be a statement win

Win your home games and draw the aways was aways a mantra to promotion. And in the PL it is a guarantee of Champions' League qualification. So a win on Sunday sets-up right-up IMHO.

If we win by more than 2 goals then I am putting my house on a Top 4 finish.

Early season away wins haven’t been easy to come by in the last 2 seasons.

To get that on top of being a statement win and this will be set up to be a special season.

Really disagree it’s a must win. It would be a statement win for sure, and I wouldn’t take a draw if you offered it to me now because we’re absolutely the better side, but a draw would be far from a disastrous result against a team in similarly buoyant mood at a ground we have an average record at.

In my view this is the first really stern test. We have had a brilliant start, but so far we have smashed an understrength championship side, demolished an under strength Premier league team that has finished the last two seasons in 17th place and hammered an under strength lower mid table Bundesliga side. All brilliant results, giving a huge sense of expectation for the season, and rightly so. This game will prove whether we have really progressed. 2-0 to the Bees if we have, 1-1 if we haven't?

... this fixture was one of the games last season I left the ground wondering...what was that all about....total bore fest from begining to end.... only hope tomorrow is different.... they've got Wilson...who has history against us.... we look better already than we did last season... hope we take the game to them... regardless of how deep they defend....score first and we win.

I'd agree. This game is the first real 'marker' of the season – both sides stable, building on a decent previous season with recruitment of first-team starters.

This was the team last season with very little on the bench. Some pretty tired legs amongst them. I think getting out with a point and a clean sheet was pretty good.
