I was using today’s Spurs Newcastle game as a bit of a litmus test to see if last weeks result was a sign of us being genuine top 4 contenders, or just a case of ‘it’s only spurs’.

The 0-2 result would suggest the latter, however the xG would say that actually we performed to a much higher standard than a Newcastle side who deserved to beat Liverpool last week.

I’m therefore going into tomorrows game full of confidence, and am willing to bet the house (assuming a good performance and result) that we will be playing in the Champions League next season… COYB
