How are you feeling now? The "condensed game" for Game 3 I watched here in the UK had precisely zero seconds from the first period, but that still didn't prepare me for the wild ride to come!

This series, and this team, are taking years off my life. I was at Games 1 and 2 in Raleigh, and will be there tonight for Game 5. I'd like to say I'm enjoying the ride, but if we're being honest I'm too stressed. lol

The power play woke up, AND Svechnikov and Aho decided to get on the scoresheet.

Gonna be interesting to see what Vegas does in goal; Carter Hart has been pretty bad and they’ve got Adin Hill if they wanted to go to him.

Well, my wife flew out to Vegas with a couple of friends and was there when the Canes lifted the Cup. I was left home with our 3 kids, 2 of whom fell asleep before the game ended. So my 10-year-old and I just sat on the floor in front of the TV and watched the celebration, I with my bottle of champagne and her with her bottle of Welch's sparkling grape juice.

Canada - Rogers have paid 11 billion Cdn for NHL TV over ten yyears.
They have shut CBC out of Hockey Night in Canada which has been aired for about 75 years. Up to now they have shared the Saturday night show. This contract starts for the 26/27 season.

Rogers also own the Blue Jays and a bad reputation for their phone customer relations.

They have probably looked at the Premier League and made a call on whether free to air TV brings in more subscriptions. Given the state of the Canadian teams at the moment ... probably not much demand! So, in business terms, better to try to squeeze out as many subscribers as possible by being a monopoly than through sharing some games. (I'm not supporting that just to be clear!)

The scuttlebutt is that the Canes are trying to work out a multi-team trade that would somehow get Hellebuyck to Carolina. It would involve the Canes shipping out Alexander Nikishin, who is currently holding out, and probably Pyotr Kotchetkov, who would be the 3rd goalie behind Bussi and Hellebuyck if he stayed.

He's such a good player too. Then again, I'm not going to cry any tears for the Panthers, one of the dirtiest teams in the league.

Barky is one of the only Florida players who's even remotely likeable.... That said, Florida's up against the salary cap and they have no forward prospects worth a damn, so they might be in deep sh*t for a bit while he's out. They had MARCHAND taking faceoffs last night.

I missed the game yesterday (had a thing to go to with one of my kids), but my wife said the Jets fans sitting near our seats left at the 10:00 mark of the 2nd when it was 5-0, and she saw more leaving at the end of that period.
