KS not deffo out is he ?
No, but he's not deffo in either.
Love it when the GPG goes all Schrödinger's cat and Quantum Mechanics.

Very appropriate for Schade. He’s as quick as light and, therefore, exhibits wave-particle duality. Maybe explains why he frustrates some and excites others in equal measure on here.

...I prefer Lionel's Hokey Cokey theory tbf.

Another horrible, cheating Argentinian **** comes to the Gtech to get his comeuppance.

John Brooks is the ref. Completely incompetent. Inexplicably failed to send off Gabriel last season in the Arsenal game
Would your opinion change if he inexplicably sent off a Liverpool player on Saturday?😊

Also missed the handball by Vicario against Spurs away a couple of seasons ago.

We've got a number of players potentially returning from injury and, apart from Gravenberch being suspended, Liverpool seem to have a lot of players out injured or potentially returning from injury, with the rest to pick from having a decent run-out in Austria midweek. The interesting thing will be that both head coaches will know a lot about each other and how they like to set up in style of play.

So, guessing our line-up is like playing pick-up-sticks and Keith is not going to give anything away pre-match – even the Club's training pictures may be creating distractions!

What do we reckon, Over 4.5 attacks stopped by phantom head injuries to defenders?

What happens or not on Saturday has nothing to do with previous failures/mistakes made in previous games, they stand whatever, he cant make good imo. Even if he sent off a Liverpool player in error it just adds to the point the previous poster was making, he is not good enough to ref in the PL. For the record i also think John Brooks is incompetent based on previous performances.

I read this as all of them are unavailable.
Ummm

Could be that "take a bit more time Schuster" allows Nathan back in to start.
If Schade is actually "on the grass" then I assume he must have recovered. Unless he's playing non-contact games?

Surely "Damsgaard and Collins are “closer” (then Scahde and Schuster) suggests the last 2 definitely won't be involved.
And the first 2 probably wont.
🤷‍♂️

I hope I’m wrong and it’s just KA leaving Iraola playing guessing games.

Liverpool (H) 17/10/26

Well whoever makes it tomorrow, we have basically no long-term injury concerns now. It’s been a more than satisfactory start to the season but let’s hope we can really start turning the screw now, starting from tomorrow.

Last week "on the grass" meant not in the squad at all or only available from the bench:

" Andrews was asked about the availability of Nathan Collins (calf), Mikkel Damsgaard, Mathias Jensen, Dango Ouattara and Sepp van den Berg (groin).

“They have been on the grass and have been in and around training,” the Bees' head coach continued. "

Standard answers to reporters’ questions about player availability.

1) Player is fit and ready to play = potential starter/included in a game day squad
2) Player recovering from a less serious injury and is training normally = “Closer” > included in a game day squad where the position allows, but not deemed a starter.
3) Player recovering from a less serious injury and is training with restrictions = “On the grass” > not included in a game day squad
4) Player recovering from serious injury and is training with restrictions = “Getting closer” > not considered to be included in a game day squad
5) Player recovering from serious injury and is not training with squad = “Progressing nicely” > not considered to be included in a game day squad for the foreseeable future.

I guess it's fastest fingers or notification ping at 145pm tomorrow as per... which really has become a thing...a range of expletives at the ready....all part of the matchday experience.

Both in contact training from the looks of things. I guess it could be an old picture, but would be strange to use that and caption it "prematch Liverpool team news"

I'll guess only 1 of said quartet will be in tomorrows squad and I am praying it is Collins unless SvdB is now ready to start

It's going to be less formulaic than that... it's "what can I say that's truthful but says nothing about the match-day squad or starting XI selection".

Interesting that Jensen doesn't get a mention!

Liverpool (H) 17/10/26

What is the point of pre match press conferences?
Why would a head coach be truthful in their answers?
It's a pointless waste of time that could be better spent having a cup of tea.
It’s required by the PL and good for column inches for domestic and international press.

Otherwise I agree that they aren’t particularly useful.

Having a cup of tea doesn't generate media interest in upcoming games of fooball.
I agree there's not a lot to learn of useful info to learn from them most of the time.

I'm not so sure about this....KA showing the press how to make the perfect cuppa rather than discussing availability.... would cause quite a stir in mediasphere.

I think we'll have to get used to KA giving nothing away on team news during news conferences. I've got no problem with that as it's frustrating for us but it only helps the opposition.
After what he said, as it is reported by BBC, I've got no idea if any of the five players mentioned are going to be involved tomorrow.
There are some positives to take though. Some were concerned that Dams and Kevin, two talented players in very good form, might be missing for months. It looks pretty certain now that we'll see them back in a couple of weeks at the latest.

Liverpool (H) 17/10/26

Iraola took ten games to get B’mouth on his wavelength and winning. Tomorrow is Iraola’s tenth game in charge of Liverpool….(Metro).
Different though, Bournemouth we’re not expected to win every week

There is no incentive whatsoever for a manager to be open about player availability in a pre-match press conference. So I would take Keith's comments (as well as Iraola's) as pretty meaningless for who starts tomorrow!

IMO the most meaningful takeaway was that Kevin was "on the grass" which at least implies his injury isn't too bad.
