Luton Game: Attendance

Who's going, I'm getting my ticket. I reckon 6,500 or there abouts, maybe less.

Luton Game: Attendance

4500...for me.... hope we unerestimate by at least 1000... then beat the scum

Luton Game: Attendance

4000 at best unless BFC make it £10 entry and £1 for a kid, but then i think Luton have to agree it as well.

shouldn't this be in the Luton thread?

i'm annoying this afternoon.........................BLOODY KIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4,000-4,500 i think, but me and my dad will still go

Luton Game: Attendance

I think I'm going to miss it as I'm due to be away with work. :(

Luton Game: Attendance

Well, I'm hoping to try the new ST Cup ticket system. Hopefully a ticket for my seat will soon be winging its way to me care of Tracey, without my lifting a finger :D

Depends on the pricing of the game. If its standard prices I think we might even go as low as 3000-3500.

4234 - FACT. :computer:

We need to reduce the prices otherwise you are right. This game is not enticing. :thetruth:

Luton Game: Attendance

4,300 if it's a tenner. Take a 1,000 off of that if it's normal prices.

League Cup has had its day.

It's just like the UEFA Cup in that clubs only make money out of it if they get to the last 4. Personally, I'd rather play a competitive game against Luton than Arsenal or Chelsea's reserves / academy. Wish it had been Fulham though. :(

Only three of the players who started Luton's 1st round match against Brizzle Rovers also started yesterday.

We didn't even take it seriously last year or season before.

Scrap it.

Luton Game: Attendance

3,000 at £20 a shot.

Luton NEVER take this competition seriously and my luton mate reckons that they will only sell about 300 for this one..

This seriously needs to be a tenner a go especially with three home games in eight days..

Absolutely.

The decision to reduce prices at Swindon paid off for them with over 5 000. At St Marys prices were £10 for adults and 'kid a quid' in their game against Yeovil - result a crowd of about 20 000.

Here's hoping the club come up with some worthwhile marketing idea for this game. :fishing:

Luton Game: Attendance

There should be a reasonable crowd to see the only unbeaten London side this season ...........in all competitions!rofl

Luton Game: Attendance

5452, might go, if it costs me a quid , most proberly

Luton Game: Attendance

Yep the prices need to be lowered. The league cup is dying and not many people will be willing to pay top-notch for it. Put ticket prices down to around a tenner for adults and a quid for kids and the fans will come.

If prices stay the same: 4283
if they get lowered: 5839

To financially justify halving the price you need to double the gate.

Whilst there is a hidden benefit of good PR in offering cheaper prices this is very difficult to quantify and in my experience such ventures at brentford have rarely given any long term boost to gates. Did we actually benefit long term from the free Peterborough game a few years ago - was the income from people coming back equal to the income lost on the game?

In our current financial state a lot of number crunching is needed to decide whether it is worth reducing prices. We are not in the position to be offering loyalty deals to our fans.

Luton Game: Attendance

Thought the spend per person through the gate on food was some ridiculously low figure - and that was spend not profit.

And that is with the fattest fans in league one!

Luton Game: Attendance

We have about 4000 dedicated fans and 2000 floaters - I think we get less than half of each: 2500.

Luton Game: Attendance

About 5,000 at a guess. I for one will be there to lend my support

Luton Game: Attendance

Not a mouth watering cup tie. I guess we will be lucky to break 4000

Luton Game: Attendance

Just over 4000

I'm not sure dropping prices would work - not sure how elastic demand is for our games.

Probably depends if football is on the TV - if it is Champions League on ITV change the day.

I won't be there as I'm down in the West Country - only come up for evening games if they are really important or I don't have to go to work the next day

Luton Game: Attendance

i thik we will go out there guns blazeing we will win a bout 3 1 kaffour x2 pinault 6000

Luton Game: Attendance

Are Youngbee2 and rossbee competing for "infuriating posters of the season"?

Luton Game: Attendance

I think the attendance will depend as much on things like what other games are on TV that night, or if it's p***ing down as much as on the prices, and I wouldn't halve the prices as I'm sure that wouldn't double the gate. Our results between now and then are possibly the most important factor of all

I reckon around 4,200 at normal prices, 5,000 if prices greatly reduced (so why cut them?)

Luton Game: Attendance

4500 MAXIMUM

I'm not picking on you in particular but do the maths on this and 3,300 at normal prices works out better doesn't it? If that's the case, all we're talking about is a goodwill factor from the Club in view of the lack of interest in the tie.

We also have to take into account the fact that Luton have to agree to this I think.

I don't disagree with you Sir, I was merely predicting the attendance at normal and reduced admission prices.

Luton Game: Attendance

Maybe the club should say that if you purchase a ticket for this game you will be able to purchase a ticket for the next round when we win and get a big club!

As i am sure that if we do get to the next round and draw a big team all the glory hunters will be jumping back on board and looking for tickets!

This may convince a few more to come along to the game if they know they will get a ticket for the next game (if they are not already STH, BU memebrs etc)

Luton Game: Attendance

Problem is this will be the third home game in seven days. That's a lot of dosh to fork out for a lot of people (me included). It's bound to have an effect on the attendance.

this is true...........

even if Brentford did cut prices to £10 standing and £15 to sit, you still wouldn't get a big enough increase in the attendance to justify it, so it will stay at the usual prices and hope that 4-5,000 turn up.

can't see it though, 3500 my guess
