Telegraph 2015/2016 GPG Fantasy Competition (with a prize pool)

I have set up a Telegraph Fantasy league mini-league

Entrance will be £5 each, which you pay to the Telegraph who keep the money for the season then pay out at the end, I was in a similar thing with them last year and very prompt they were too with the pay out

Prize money will be depending on how many people enter but effectively the prize pool will be split as follows:

1st prize 50%
2nd prize 30%
3rd prize 15%
Goldenboot (ie which managers team scores the most goals) 5%

You only pick 11 players(so you dont have to faff about with a squad every week) and you can make 35 transfers during the season

To register a team with Telegraph its free, the entrance fee is just for this league

Go here to register your team https://fantasyfootball.telegraph.co.uk/

In a moment of inspiration I called the league "GPG FANTASY LEAGUE"

THE PIN NUMBER IS 8091113

All welcome to join, friends, family, colleagues, banana.

Hopefully we'll get a decent pot

In the words of Nocoat, "Get involved Brentford"!

Other fantasy league competitions are available but this one could get you some wonga

Don't you have to pay telegraph to set up a team as well? Or have they changed that?

No I dont keep the money, the telegraph does, you have to pay the £5 for the mini league online, I dont want loads of £5 notes. I'll spend it then have to fork out a load of dosh in May!

I actually dont think you can enter the mini league unless you pay the £5 money either actually

Ah sorry thought this was something you were personally running.

I'm on a long coach journey so will look at the website when I get the other end.

A 10.5 hour long coach journey is a long journey. My mother lives in scotland and I travel there frequently to see her.

It says £10, not £5, for League Entry Fee on the Telegraph web site.

I am not overly fussed, but is this (ie £10) a mistake?

You're right it does say £10 now. Maybe I selected it by mistake.

Either way less than a pound a month is great value for money.

Get involved people...

Getting interesting now. Looking at a great prize kitty if we keep up this momentum.

By the way people - a lot of you have your teams set to 'public' meaning anyone can see who's in your team. To change this go to my team, then just above your squad there is a public/private setting. I've had look through and don't think I've got anything to worry about!!!

Dear Wibs (real name withheld for legal reasons),

Until very recently I had lost all interest in the English Premier League, with its overpaid and out-of-touch superstars; the predictability of results; the diving and cheating; the constant whinging of the managers; the excessive influence of agents; and the lack of respect for figures of authority, especially referees. I really couldn't even be bothered to watch the matches on Sky any more and even considered stopping my subscription to Sky Sports. But now, ever since you introduced the GPG Fantasy League into my life, the Premier League has a whole new appeal and vitality to it. I cannot wait for the next match on the telly to see my boys pit their wits against fantasy league opponents, and to plot my transfer strategy. I'm constantly checking the TV schedules to make sure I don't miss a trick. In short, the love affair is back on.

Unfortunately, however, my new-found zest for England's finest football seems to have re-opened old family conflicts, and I find myself increasingly involved in a power struggle for control of the remote. Arguments over time spent watching football on TV have once more erupted in the household, and my interest in anything not related to the kicking of a sphere is once more called into question.

I don't know whether to thank you for rekindling my interest in the football for which I pay monthly, or whether to name you in divorce proceedings. What should I do?

Arsenal - Liverpool half time. Can't believe Coutinho's hit the woodwork twice, and Ramsay has had a legitimate goal chalked off. Cruel justice. At least Lovren's on a clean sheet at the mo.

Telegraph 2015/2016 GPG Fantasy Competition (with a prize pool)

End of September and the man with the funny surname is comfortably in the lead but its very close for the other prize money. He is also in the lead for the Starting XI prize money AND the golden boot! STOP THIS MAN!

It is very close for 2nd and third though with a large pack hovering

Smiffy is as consistent as ever...
