so frustrating today.
Something about the way we play and the way we look and try to create chances needs to change. You can stick the new Greek bloke in there, but our patterns of play to create meaningful opportunities is just leading us down blind alleys and I am not sure just his addition is the only answer.

....huffed and puffed....ref was simply an overweight weirdo....we'll beat a lot of teams when we have our strikers in the side....as for the jokers at BFC Official....re spongebob....if your govners hadn't ****ed up the transfer window...we would have scored 4 or 5 today....so stick your snidey sarcasm up your 'harris.

Charlton had their pants round their ankles & their arse up in the air today.
We couldn't manage a semi. We didn't even tickle it.
I fear Frank has slowly started losing the dressing room.
He's slowly losing me!
Giving Marcondes a full 90 and persisting with Watkins out of position, despite seeing it fail again and again.
If he goes with it again versus Derby and it doesn't work i think the terraces will start turning.
He's a lovely lovely fella, so i really hope it doesn't.

Very disappointed with the nature of the result today. I said after the Birmingham game that we would need about 6 games for the team to gell. Derby up next, game 6, loose that and we could be in for a tough season.

End the ridiculous Watkins is a number 9 messaging BS from the club - he doesn't play like and if he was you wouldn't have bought a replacement for now AND one for January. STOP PLAYING HIM THERE !!!
Not an anti-Ollie rant because as a winger he warrants his place in the team - but he's drifting out towards the wing and leaving us with nobody in the area and nobody else is getting in there from the midfield either !!!
Kamo should be on from the start, Bryan should be in there from the start, time to start Said - ii'd rather he gives us 60 from the start than 30 when we are chasing the game !! Not working Thomas, so change it up................. a lot !!!

We are showing promise. Hero's will evolve and settle. I thought we were goi g for promtion this year but once we broke up the team it surely is apparent we have to regenerate. Having said that I dont understand it all,selection etc but you lads know more than me. When it comes good excitement will come. Well done all those who have witnessed the fervour this week.

What’s there to say. We gave them a goal gift wrapped and showed no real cohesion or tempo until the cavalry came on.
Mokotjo a massive upgrade on the ponderous Norgaard and Jensen is improving and lasted the 90.
Still unsure of the best formation but unless Korelis gets fit by next Saturday and is as good as we hope we are never going to score a goal.
No threat at all up top however much Said and Mbeumo prompt from the flanks
One poor day in the transfer window has unravelled our season.

Third time I have tried to post this so apologies if you have read it elsewhere.
Can all the moany Minnie’s have a night off, there is a beer in it for you.
We battered them, should have, could have won, we have quality all over.
Let’s wait until Said starts, 5 mins doesnt work for him, he keeps tripping over trying to get into it. Get the new fella un amd we will smash this division.
I am as frustrated as anyone after that bollox today but I only see a squad of epic proportions being built.
I am annoyed but can’t take the moaning from those that think the world is ending so I am checking out do the night.
By the way, EM looks a player, you heard it here. He will be scape goated tonight but the boy had something.

Yes that last day does seem to be a story but hope a lesson is learnt. Dont sell until one has a replacement of proven quality.

Why doesn't TF START with his best players ?....Benrahma, Kamo and Mbueno, it doesn't make sense that he's always prepared to go behind and then start chasing the game, sorry Thomas your tactics are wrong...……..So if the subs aren't 100% fit at least they can do 60 mins, get in front and then defend the lead. He said we have a solid defence and so we fekin should with what they cost. I really like Thomas but he infuriates me when he puts Marcondes in and Ollie at no9. I think it's time the DOF's put there hands up and admit they made a mistake with Marcondes. and send him out on loan where he'll have more time to show off his keepy uppy tricks.

Square pegs round holes.
Put Watkins back on the wing where he's proven to be good (or play Said+Mbeumo there).
Start Kamo in the middle as he's the only one with energy and mobility.
Play three midfielders as we have no need for three centre backs.
Don't play Marcondes as a winger when we've got proper wingers.
We keep dropping points because we don't have enough in the middle of the park and teams can just sit back and counter if they're poor or dominate us if they're good like Leeds.
Play one of our only two actual fit strikers.....as the the striker (Forss / Marcondes).
We were always going to take a bit of time to gel with the incomings/outgoings but imo Frank's selections are poor and we should have a lot more points on the board by now with the players we have.

Sorry we had more then one bad day in the window. Who ever left us with 0 Striker and Zero goal threat from midfield needs to be shot. We all knew Maupay and Sawyers were going it was just a case of when. But did we react no. We have spend 25 million plus but are nowhere near as good as last season. Even the season we didnt win for 9 games we were better then this. Sorry the manager needs to go, totally out of his depth. 2 goals in 5 games is relegation form.

Got to change this quickly. Saïd and The General improve things, but still cant see us creating much from midfield. And it sure ain’t the exciting football we have been treated to. That is the depressing thing.

I agree with the fact that you start you best side and get in front and then defend with our upgraded defence. Things can only get better

The problem with starting players returning from injury is that the risk is not just running out of energy but getting injured again. Then you have new players starting who both need to gain match fitness and to acclimatise to the team and league. These results and narrow 1-0 defeats are massively frustrating but reacting to them as if we need to pick up 10 points in the last 4 games of the season to avoid the drop and just chucking on the best and most attacking XI on paper as a desperate last throw of the dice is not necessarily the best thing to do early season.

Wasn't there, so I won't criticise players or management. However, I really don't want to read any of the following on here this evening, which have been routinely trotted out over the past month or so. Why? Because it's irrelevant until we score goals or gain points:
-We score so many from our midfielders & other forwards, so a striker is not essential;
-We massively out performed them on shots on goals and possession;
-We clearly deserved to win, all the ref's fault.
-So unlucky. Could've, might've, should've, etc. Save it please - we didn't. That's all that matters.
I'd accept any of the above for a game, maybe even two. However, we have lost 3 league games 1-0, scoring a grand total of two goals in the league this season. I was at the Hull game and that wasn't much better for the first hour. You can't score goals if you don't at least hit the target and test the keeper. Reading the thread today and looking at the stats it seems a carbon copy of Birmingham. It's not good enough to keep saying, 'we were unlucky'.
I'm sure we'll improve and of course it's so early in the season, but goals completely drying up is not something I expected. I'll let others to tear Marcondes apart, as it sounds like he was the worst of the bunch.

Seems to be some sense on here but I'm awaiting the abuse to flow. Which quite frankly isn't deserved or needed. They were awful they'll be bottom third by Christmas.
Patience is needed I can't remember the last good start to a season we've had just give the team a break.
I only decided to come this morning and now have the joys of long journey home to deep Somerset!

The amount of blocks in our attack near the end was unreal. Think we were screaming for handball more in hope than expectation.

When we lose, we nearly always lose despite dominating possession and chances (Leeds aside). We always start the season poor. We always finish the season strong.

We looked like today what we are, a team full of newbies, short of match fitness and togetherness. It will come good but not for a few weeks. Never the less, it was absolutely criminal to have lost today and we looked completely toothless upfront.
Nik the Greek needs to get match fit ASAP.

Absolutely spot on. We battered them, particularly second half, just lacking a bit of luck and quality in the final third! I was pretty down after Leeds but today was much more promising. We are still settling in but today suggests we are not as far off as I feared.

I take all the optimism at face value but we were playing a team that had nothing but guts, organisation, bravery and who knew how to cheat and slow the game down.
We won’t play a worse team all season.

We are our own worst enemies this season, in the past we’ve done our transfer business early but this season we decide to leave until the final day. Given we were fairly certain that Maupay was on his way and an out an out striker was top of the priority list. But we left it until the final day and lost out for whatever the reason, maybe nobody is to blame but I hope we’ve learnt a valuable lesson and go back to doing our transfer dealings done early and I just hope and pray that Nik will hit the ground running sooner rather than later as of this current performances and lack of goals I think we’ll be in for a tough few months and a great deal of heartache.

I wasn't there, but I gather that we dominated and they cleared off the line several times. Football is a game of very narrow margins, we have a lot of new players, we got a great deal for selling Maupay but obviously we have problems scoring goals now and we have lost three games 1-0. I think you guys should calm down and be a bit more patient. I don't think that a lot of this criticism is particularly constructive or helpful, we are only 5 games in.

Putting a guy who has had a lot of injury problems under pressure from the start, I have not seen the goal but noticed in some of the pre-season friendlies that Norgaard tends to get the ball caught up
in his feet (a bit ala Josh Mac) and lose possession don't know if this happened today.

Kamo revitalised the midfield when he came on and must start against Derby. Said is slowly getting his MoJo back and also should start if the fitness guys think he can do 65/70 mins .
We need to ditch the 3 centre backs ftb as we need the extra midfielder in there and most importantly we need to admit defeat on the Ollie experiment asap , not only is it unfair on him we are also missing his goals from out wide. If it means playing Forss for a while as the Greek guy gets fit then I think that’s worth it .
Final positive is we basically outclassed a newly promoted team who are on a roll on their own pitch for the entire 90 minutes , I have no doubt we have the players it’s just getting them into a more coherent attaking formation that we need to do . The sign of a good manager is that he can be flexible and change things around , Frank did it last season and he needs to do it again otherwise it will be Groundhog Day the fact we have only scored 2 goals in 5 matches isn’t bad luck .

The issue is our style of play hasn’t changed. Keep possession, quick passing near the box overlapping fullbacks etc
