"Back The Bees" Prediction League 2005
To help raise funds for the "Back the Bees" campaign, the GPG is proud to launch a 2005 Predictions League to cover the initial 10 Football League matches played by Brentford during the 2005-2006 season.
The matches involved are
Aug 6 - H - Scunthorpe Utd
Aug 10- A - Chesterfield
Aug 13- A - Port Vale
Aug 20- H - Tranmere Rovers
Aug 27- A - Barnsley
Aug 29- H - Gillingham
Sep 3 - A - Nottingham Forest
Sep 10- H - MK Dons
Sep 17- A - Huddersfield Town
Sep 24- H - Bristol City
Points will be scored as following for predicting both the correct result (i.e. win, lose or draw) and for the correct scoreline (ie Bristol City-0 Brentford 6).
At the end of the 10 matches the winner will be the person with the most points. If at the end of the 10 matches there is more than one winner, then those winners will predict the scores of subsequent league games until only one winner is left.
Entry for the competition will cost £20, and it is intended that the first prize be £150.
To make your entry, please send £20 with your predictions to Rod Gowers @ Back the Bees, 19 Priory Rd, Hounslow, TW3 2RA, with cheques made payable to Bees United (Back the Bees). Alternatively, PM your details to "Rod Gowers" (or post them on this thread) and Rod will collect your money personally before the home game against Scunthorpe at the "Back the Bees" stall.
Nobody will be entered into the league without paying their entry beforehand.
Entrants will be responsible for entering their fixtures into the Prediction League that will be available shortly on the GPG. (n.b. it will run on very similar lines to last season's prediction league competition available from the link in the menu bar above). Note that you can enter your fixtures all at once or up to an hour before each game.
Events such as postponed and abandoned matches will result in those matches not-counting.
